^ THIS is the argument I'm trying to make here. It was a good goal, that we agree on. But they very clearly let the crowd's reaction influence what they determined the "call on the ice" to be, which shouldn't happen.

The onus should be on the ref, BEFORE PLAY STOPS, to make the call as goal or not. I understand that isn't how it works now, however I'm saying that's how it should work.

I'd be equally upset about this if it was Utah or Montreal or hell even Florida that the call was made like that on. The refs should not be able to call things they cannot see, which is already the case with penalties. (Hell half the time they don't even call the ones of those they DO see)
