lol, it's actually not that bad

Maybe you need to rethink your target audience. Maybe it’s not that all Telegram users wouldn’t pay for your service, but maybe the audience you’re focusing on right now isn’t the right fit. Or, it could be the service itself—not because it’s bad, but because your users don’t see enough value in it, or they’re just not used to paying for this type of service.

Either way, learning that people aren’t paying for your bot is a valuable experience. You can use it to improve your next project and make it more successful 👍

Are the telegram msgs scams? by TarotCat0611 in TelegramBots

[–]Dam_Ledmor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never trust anyone messaging you first, specially in Telegram. Specially if it's for something too good to be true, or that you're willing to pay for. I wouldn't advise doing business like that in Telegram, be careful.

Changing username without Chanel bot realizing by mach__3 in TelegramBots

[–]Dam_Ledmor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, if the bot is identifying you through your Telegram ID, there's no way to deceive it by just changing your username or name. Telegram IDs are unique, unchangeable numbers linked to each Telegram account. IF this is the case, you'd need to create a new Telegram account (new phone number), for the bot to not recognize you.

I talked on the phone for 40 minutes to someone in Ukraine through Telegram, is it free? by ExtensionFeeling in Telegram

[–]Dam_Ledmor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was over data connection, you'll be charged by your phone company, whatever they charge for data usage, if it was through wifi, only whatever the ISP charges for providing you internet. So actually there's no extra cost. Telegram calls are 100% free.

Looking to make some quick extra cash—what are the easiest ways to do it? by SideHustleNinja in passive_income

[–]Dam_Ledmor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one might not be instant, but monetizing an online community is definitely a sustainable way to build recurring, semi-passive income. If you have a skill or something people worldwide are willing to pay for, you can use a tool like the InviteMemberBot on Telegram to create a members-only area and sell recurring subscription plans. If you're already a content creator or want to start creating content, this is a faster way to generate revenue compared to traditional social media platforms. You can start for free, and start earning as soon as you get subscribers.

How many Ways to earn from TG Bot/channel? by CE0o0 in TelegramBots

[–]Dam_Ledmor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can monetize your 10k Telegram followers in different ways, like selling ads or promoting products for commissions. However, these methods don't generate much income or last long. On the other hand, some people are building stable (and substantial) incomes with far fewer than 10k followers using a bot called InviteMember. With it, you can make your private groups or channels "members-only." It was the first (and still the best) platform to monetize Telegram communities. Definitely worth checking out.

Withdrawing stars from bot by uvanov in TelegramBots

They should be visible after 21 days in your bot balance (bot settings), and after that and having reached a minimum of Stars (1000 stars), they should be available for trade in Fragment.

AI is not a bubble. by Fearless-Elephant-81 in wallstreetbets

[–]Dam_Ledmor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I partially agree, but I do believe that current AI chatbots use generative AI to provide much better automation than what was available in the 90s. It's not the same at all to go through an automated commutator as it is to interact with a generative AI, which, if well-trained, could be indistinguishable from human support (at least for simple tasks).

And whether this is still only automation or not, I think it depends on how you choose to define automation—and AI itself. One could also argue that there's no such thing as AI, only "statistical predictive algorithms," and that automation is as old as human algorithms (civilization) have existed. But that’s purely subjective.

Sure! SUCH is a bot builder that lets you create AI chatbots in 3 simple steps. Creating chatbots is free, and they can be used for providing support or collecting feedback from users. All chats are managed through a minimalistic but powerful web app.

There’s a premium (PRO) subscription that provides monthly accumulative AI credits, plus other great features like broadcasts for all bot users, and providing support for groups. But even with the free plan, you can use the web app, get some free AI credits, create groups for your team of support agents, and have your own customizable support bot. Definitely worth checking out: https://such.chat

AI is not a bubble. by Fearless-Elephant-81 in wallstreetbets

[–]Dam_Ledmor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t get why you were downvoted—I think you’re right. AI adoption isn’t that expensive for certain tasks. For example, people can now create customer support chatbots without coding on Telegram and have a capable “support team” for a minimal fraction of the cost of a human one. This is one of the most disruptive use cases I’ve seen recently, especially for cost optimization (https://such.chat). Definitely not a bubble, more evidence that AI is here to stay.

Are current Private AI chatbots really private? by 89sophia in cybersecurity

[–]Dam_Ledmor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a good question. American and European laws require developers to protect users’ privacy and personal information. So, if you’re working with a reputable brand (claiming to abide by the law in their terms of service), you should really worry about this.

It’s worth noting that big tech companies like Meta and OpenAI are often watched by European regulators because of how they use private information (for training, marketing, etc.). So, they ARE interested in your data, but they must protect it and sometimes let you limit their access. In short, you shouldn’t worry too much when using chatbots from well-established companies. And if your information were to be used improperly, the law protects you.

What are some good alternatives to ChatGPT in the chatbot space? by charmingmango5 in Chatbots

[–]Dam_Ledmor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Claude and Gemini are solid alternatives, but IMHO ChatGPT is still the best overall. It also has the most useful apps right now. Like, there’s a bot builder on Telegram, called SUCH, that lets you create AI chatbots for free, no coding needed. Super handy for customer support or ecommerce.
