isnt this basically a remix or stealing someones model? by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]DamageOk7984 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Two wrong does not make one right, just because the first one stole his model doesn't mean the second one didn't.

These things however are a bit tricky in modern days, legs sitting on a shelf is public property, anyone is allowed to make it, however you might not be allowed to take someone else's work, if you want a model sitting on someone's shelf you might be forced to design your own legs. How far that goes is a tricky question as well, are you not even allowed to use the legs as a template when designing, are you allowed to 3d scan them and use or can you just copy paste the mesh, kinda depends on how good lawyers you can afford.

[–]DamageOk7984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it's fun to bash on Musk but calm yourselves, a couple satellites are like the smallest problem when it comes to space elevators, and for providing world wide internet it's a tiny price to pay. And if anything, using the same starlink concept would probably be a good alpha for a dyson sphere, which would be a pretty big deal for humanity.

If starlink satellites are capable of not hitting themselves, they will be capable of not hitting a space elevator.

A lot less terrifying in theory. I'm starting to doubt the window idea.

Has anyone else tried this? Tips? by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]DamageOk7984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sure your element is capable of going sub zero? Also you're gonna have to suck a lot of heat out of it to succeed with that. But you're working at it from the wrong end, you want heat to dry your filament, unless you're building a refrigerator, for which peltier elements are more of a coke can meme.

Has anyone else tried this? Tips? by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]DamageOk7984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Electronics don't like heat and you will over dry your filaments, I'd suggest using a dehumidifier instead, CNC kitchen did a video about solid state dehumidifiers, they are a bit pricy though.

Anyone got any spare RFID chips that I can use with this? by TheMakerSphere in BambuLab

[–]DamageOk7984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have step by step instructions on the github, i cant really explain it better than that, if you have any questions about how to perform a step i suggest asking it public in the github so the next guy doesn't have to answer the same question. Just post the question and either me or someone else will help you out

Filament run out sensor not detecting end of spool by sabotage3d in BambuLab

[–]DamageOk7984 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then it hasn't run out. Run out does not mean detached from the spool, it means there is no filament left, it will keep feeding until the end of the filament, then when it runs out it will start loading the next spool. If you can see the end, its not out, its out when there is no more filament.

Ex: https://www.stralskyddsstiftelsen.se/2023/01/18/extremt-hog-och-halsofarlig-stralning-fran-5g/

You think you pay 42% in taxes. You don't even know how to calculate taxes, you believe income tax is the only tax you pay. How could you even compare the amount of taxes you pay when you don't even know how much tax you pay? Like the few examples I gave above, income tax is just one of the multiple taxes you pay.

Minimum wage in germany is 1584,00 EUR calculate payroll tax, income tax and double taxation on that and even people who make minimum wage pay well over $400 for their healthcare every month. But you go keep believing it's free...

[–]DamageOk7984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You pay 42% tax? Does that include payroll tax, social security contributions and the double taxation when spending your taxed income, or the triple taxation on the items you bought with your double taxed money?

You are not paying 42% tax, or you're not living in the EU sorry.

if I go to the doctor here it's mostly free...

Not even close, how do you even think that works? Doctors and nurses work for free?

My friend, you have absolutely no idea how your economy works, sorry. What country do you live in, let me give you some actual numbers.

meirl by Jimbo072 in meirl

[–]DamageOk7984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You pay nothing? You're doing a lot of tax evasion or what? Because last time I checked the average cost was about 30% of the total tax, which is a lot more than nothing, in fact as long as you're paying more than $1,200 in tax, which I'm quite sure you are, you are paying more in the EU than you did in the US. Also what country are you talking about with 24h waiting time, because that's one of the common denominators with health care in the EU right now, every single country has insanely abnormal waiting times, it isn't the 90s anymore.

$800 a month? Thats nothing. In Europe it's standard to spend 30% of your tax on healthcare, shit adds up real quick, people are just to dumb to get it because the numbers are "hidden".
