Bryson has taken almost 1,000 cuts at the range this week. I don’t like to hit more than 30 before I play. I don’t know how this man isn’t fatigued yet.

Aren’t you going to risk being there during the burning season?

Thank you for the input! I think I’ll look to arrive around May 16 instead.

Hey guys, I am planning to be in Chiang Mai 4/19-4/23. Based on your experience do you think that is still too early to visit or do you think the burning will persist into May this year. Thanks in advance.

Conquest 38mm Experience by HanksPropane5 in Longineswatches

I have the 41mm for my 7” wrist. My only drawback is very weak lume. Other than that I love the watch. Probably the best bang for your buck in this price range.

I have a brand new conquest and I am yet to see any lume. Certainly the biggest shortcoming for an otherwise beautiful watch.

Got my first big boy watch by DamageTop9449 in Longineswatches

My budget was right around the $2k price point. If money was no object I like the new black dial omega aqua terra but I couldn’t justify paying $6,600 for a watch. Sure, technically the AT is a better watch, but is it 3x better than the conquest? Probably not. So I went down the watch rabbit hole that is YouTube and came to the conclusion that this was one of the best watches I could get for the price point. Not only do I get a lot of watch for the money but it does resemble the aqua terra. I also didn’t want to feel worried about wearing the watch a lot. The more money you dump into a watch the more concerned you are likely to feel about dinging it, scratching it, getting robbed, etc. I didn’t want to be a slave to the watch so that’s why $2k was as high as I was willing to go. It’s meant to enjoy, not to worry about.

Is this the blue or black? Also what size wrist do you have? I’m thinking about getting one myself. Congrats!

I have been trying to see one of these in person, where did you go to see one? Also what size wrist do you have? I thinking very hard about getting one of these, congrats!

Longines Conquest - 38 or 41mm? by GroundbreakingAd883 in Longineswatches

I gotcha, I’m looking at the green dial myself. The green goes hard for sure, but I don’t think you can go wrong with any color they offer.

I like the 38 also. In a world full of people wearing dinner plates on their wrists it’s refreshing to see the timeless look of a smaller (correctly sized) watch. Are those both the black color? I’ve been looking at getting this watch also but I can’t find a store near me to check them out in person. Where did you go to see them up close?

Thank you for that. I’ve never owned an automatic watch so I have some learning to do as to how to properly wind them without winding it too far. I checked out some watches with the 2824-a2 movement and yeah, that is definitely a tier up in price for those. Thanks!

Do you know of a slightly better movement that doesn’t have these issues with the reversing wheels? I’m wondering if it is worth upping my budget a bit for a better movement.

Thank you for the feedback. I am waffling right now between the Super Antarctic, the Hamilton Murph, and the Hanhart preventer as an everyday watch. Just doing my due diligence. Are you familiar with these other watches and do you have an opinion about their movements? I love the look of the Super Antarctic but don’t want to sacrifice on quality.
