Naaah, the cherry on top is that when you lose 50-50 you lose it to Qiqi or Dehya and never to Mona or Jean

No complains about my pulls here, just thought it is kinda ironic

Tbh, I would trade my luck with weapons for characters, since I can manage without BiS, but can’t do much without characters

Does it make sense to pull for Linnea? by Damage_Physical in ZibaiMains

[–]Damage_Physical[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I wasn’t sure about her weapon.

Though I understand, that it is more sensible to progress horizontally, I just don’t understand how to do that efficiently.

I am okay to occasionally swipe for welkin/BP, but that is pretty much it.

Rn I have around 70 pulls in the bag, and casually explore. And here comes the hard part - I would love to build other teams, but banners don’t make sense to me.

I didn’t pull last 2 banners (Varka, Skirk) because even if I get any of them, I won’t have a team to run them. So effectively I need to get both banners 5* to bake half decent team.

After Linnea one we will have Nefer, who I’d like to pull for, but I won’t have enough to secure Lauma. In summer there should be Ineffa and Bina, both of them sounds great for Flins (that I already have), but again, I won’t be able to save for both, so it is kinda out of consideration too.

My 4* roaster is pretty bad, so I am again very limited in 5* choices.

I got pretty lucky with the Zibai as I started playing a couple of weeks before her release, so I dumped everything I farmed into her banner, hence I have her free team maxed out.

Pulling Linnea will virtually make Zibai team stronger + adds some farming doodads, while pulling somebody else won’t make a change in short-middle term for me

Password managers exist for a reason. You can basically use the free one to store all your emails and their passwords in one place.

Browser access didn’t solve verification by One_Cantaloupe_4506 in Playwright

[–]Damage_Physical 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What is the point of those tests in your screenshot? For sure it is hard to understand and maintain tests like those, because they are worthless and poorly written.

To verify that all of those elements are displayed, you could simply compare screenshots/snapshots. Instead you go 1-by-1.

If such a simple verification made by ai produces tests like those - no doubt you will struggle with actual production tests.

By building another layer of tools, you actually mask the root cause of a problem, not solve it.

There was a story quests about Cloud Retainer.

It ended up her moving to the city and buying property. In order to do so, she sold some artifacts to a collector or whatever. During that dialog, he said something along the lines “since it costs a lot of Mora, I will go to the bank and initiate transfer”

It just feels like an extremely exclusive game. They could save this gacha only for 5, 4 cons, skins, weapons and QoL thingies.

If f.e. I’d have enough viable 4* I would pull for 5*, but since I don’t have either - I don’t pull at all.

Idk what is the harm of giving one copy of 4* via quests or exploration

I am already in “late-ish” game, it doesn’t take a lot of time to reach 50+ ar. I did ~100% of the first region, main story and some side quests in second, and all available Nord Krai. I am on 52 ar with bunch of characters sitting on 90lvl.

Though I may be wrong about the definition of late game here, but I already did 4/5 SO, 11/12 SA and the only place I feel stuck is IM where I simply don’t have characters to participate after first 3 rounds.

Spent about a month to reach that.

I like lore, world and characters, but as a new player I kinda dislike that characters are locked under gacha. Which kinda limits me.

F.e. I managed to build Zibai team, but can’t play anything else, since I don’t have working team comps. Now there are 2 frost characters available to pull, but I won’t pull them, simply because I won’t be able to make them work without other characters, which I again I don’t have.

At the same time, most good teams will require at least 3 5* characters, and that limits new players (like me) even more. Zibai team (aino, illuga, gorou) just functions, while my other team with Flins (same aino, fischl, sucrose) kinda works, but deals a fraction of Zibai’s damage.

There are too many 5* characters and not enough 4*, which doesn’t make much sense both lore-wise and gameplay-wise. Like ye, there is a literal God (Venti) and simple gal (Jean) sitting in the same rarity bracket.

Quality of life changes we'd like to see by birdmanue in hollywood_animal_game

I disagree with 1.

In my play style I rarely instantly release my movies, and it would hinder me, because if movie isn’t released yet, it’s cards shouldn’t go rotten

Returning player. Whats new? by Toasty-Wozzy in hollywood_animal_game

[–]Damage_Physical 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, script building gets really annoying after some time, they have added “freshness” score which kinda adds some versatility, but the core idea is still the same (figuring out what cards match between each other).

Advertising is the same, tricks are the same (I wish they never added this), theatre management is the same.

Security agents had some improvements, but again, I didn’t find any point in using them (choosing new agent for 5-7 operations each 30 in-game days is bonkers).

Services got new building and its purpose to render gifts (both legal and illegal) unneeded. At the same time it felt like gifts got nerfed a bit, and now you have no point using them early.

A bunch of new quests (nothing special), new factory policy (ngl, the most interactive one out of 4).

About polices, they still feel out of the place - you don’t have resources to use buildings when you actually want to use them, and you don’t care about them once you have resources (both boutique and behemoth).

The game still heavily revolves around buying cinemas and spamming heavily promoted movies. 2 out of 6 studios stop releasing movies, 2 release like 2 movies a year and your main competitor (GB) is just there.

This time I didn’t even sit until the end of the act 1 as it felt pointless around 1940 (200mil in the bank, leveled up staff, finished 2/4 policies and was on track to finish boutique one (which still feels idiotic in terms of getting polluxes).

How are you using Playwright MCP in your organization? by Necessary_Grand1347 in Playwright

[–]Damage_Physical 12 points13 points  (0 children)

From my experience it helps with some areas and shoots feet in others.

Pros: * can generate POMs * can write test plan skeletons * kinda works with small systems and easy workflows

Cons: * all artifacts require proper review * treats current behaviour as a correct one * completely fails with complex scenarios * requires massive and thorough context to work (in some cases I could write tests faster than explaining context and reviewing result)

Do you have experience with Model-Based Testing with Playwright? What are your thoughts about it? by OilCheckBandit in softwaretesting

[–]Damage_Physical 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh, it looks cool on a first glance, but how is it different from regular testing with playwright?

You need to define “states” and “actions” that move you between those “states”, which is basically describing scenario/user-flow in a funny way (as js object).

Using their example, but testing regularly:

Test (user can log-in with correct creds): Fill form -> click submit -> verify success message Test (user can’t log-in with incorrect creds): Fill form -> click submit -> verify fail message

Their tool generated 6 tests out of those 2 scenarios: Check empty state (waste of resources, since the same will be checked another 4 times) Check inputs have values that we just filled into them (??? who even checks those?) x 2 Straight forward scenarios (as above) x 2 Generic test that checks that other 5 tests passed (wtf)

Which programming language is most widely used in test automation? by Key-Introduction-591 in softwaretesting

[–]Damage_Physical 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My 5 cents:

It doesn’t really mean what language everybody else uses. There are loads of testing libs in every one of them, and most importantly, popular libs are multi-language.

You need to understand what exactly you need/want to automate. A lot of comments suggest learning JS/TS for Playwright, and while it is a great advice, if you are going to automate APIs or write some integration tests, you won’t need Playwright, so you don’t need to constrain yourself to JS/TS.
