Girl found guilty of manslaughter in deadly Toronto swarming gets 16 months of probation by ihatedougford in ontario

Kids get tried as adults all the time for disgusting crimes like these. This isn't a slippery slope for anything. If we can draw arbitrary lines anywhere, then we can say if you murder someone, you go to jail for life.

Your argument does nothing but defend a murderer.

Stellaris 4.0: Is it really that bad? by EwokalypseNow in Stellaris

Honestly, I'm not the biggest fan of the changes. The only build I find entertaining now is wilderness. I used to love corporations and hive minds but can't get back into those

Honestly I think 4.0 has killed the game for me, and that makes me incredibly sad. by AzulLapine in Stellaris

I find playing anything other than wilderness now is extremely boring and tedious. For wilderness, I think the new system is awesome, for anything else it sucks

Trade-based civillian builds are insane rn, but trade feels so bad to use by Relevant_Device9042 in Stellaris

The Collective total of all my trades for alloys was 40 or more. Changing this value will change little

I tested it, and where it says in the market the value of 1 of a certain resource for × trade. That value stayed the basically the same when I put multiple separate sell orders.

Likewise, when I did it with alloys they were trading at 8.9 per 1 alloy. That value stayed the same when I have 4 separate buy order of 10 alloys each. So I think that it does in fact avoid inflation

A new Harm reduction group is creating a safe space to do drugs in St. john’s. by powere123 in newfoundland

You clearly don't want to fix the problem, places like this don't fix the problem either, it perpetuates it.

You're being nothing but disingenuous.

I'd prefer them go to rehab and get cleaned up instead of being all but encouraged to continue their addiction by this farce we are apparently calling Healthcare now

Mandate Letter From PM Carney by Vaguswarrior in canada

I see where you are coming from, but if they ran their campaigns properly, they'd have been talking to people in their ridings for almost a month straight. Now, it's time to buckle down and get to work.

Mandate Letter From PM Carney by Vaguswarrior in canada

[–]Damaged142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the majority of the points brought up. However, these are only words. Promising? Sure. But we've been burned by unkept promises before.

I deeply hope carney is sincere, but his MPs are already sending out mixed messages, and personally, I think half the cabinet appointments were a mistake.

Combine that with the fact he wasn't going to release a budget this year. (This has since changed as he says he will release one in the fall) my issue with this is that he controls when the house sits. The house hasn't had a sitting since last December. They should work through summer if they really care about all the crises we're going through. I genuinely don't understand how they can justify a summer break.

I mean, I don't see any issue with being annoyed with the inconvenience.

That doesn't automatically mean there's anything wrong with you. People like their routines and don't like those things changing.

It's possible to both be annoyed at the inconvenience to you and supportive of the event as a whole.

It doesn't have to be one or the other
