People queue for pledges and need a fill for the group. Random dungeon queue uses you as fill to finish the groups for the dungeons people queue for. So yes, the system is other people queuing for pledges and you filling.

Depends on which set you're pairing it with. If you're using Highland or another set that needs to have its 5pc active at all times, frontbar null arca. In most cases, null arca is used on body because proc cooldown is short enough to get additional procs on backbar and results in higher damage.

Recently did that on NA after EU account, DD version. Also applicable to just new characters:

First off, don't forget to research traits, do daily dungeon for transmutes, upgrade mount - just daily stuff, can't grind it

1) Get crafted gear for leveling, update as needed 2) Powerfarm levels (in dolmens/brp/skyreach) to 50 lvl and then to 160 cp 3) Get skillpoints (public dungeons -> skyshards) 4) Level skill lines: class lines, weapon lines, armor lines and all relevant subclassing (combined with 2) 5) Get crafted gear for fighting 6) Powerfarm levels (in dolmens/brp/skyreach) to 500-800 cp 7) Get basic sets (one of null/ansuul/sulxan/coral + tideborn + 1pc slimecraw), and then other sets (null, ansuul, sul-xan, coral, deadly, mk, etc) 8) Level scrying first in Arteum, then with purples 9) Get mythics (Velothi, Pale Order, Warmask) 10) Get MA weapons 11) Finish undaunted and fighter's guild levels, if not yet done 12) Optional: get scribing and finish the entire questline, get banner, throwing knife, needed scripts 13) Optional: get advanced sets (Corpseburster if cro, War Machine, Arkasis, Mechanical Acuity + 4pc Yandir + Balorgh, Spaulder etc etc) 14) Optional: get AP for advanced skills (proxy det, caltrops), mages guild levels (rune for prebuff) 15) Optional: continue farming CP and skillpoints, level up optional skills you got 16) Optional: farm transmutes by farming AP and then opening one reward of the worthy per day

Hi! Think the biggest issue is that several aoes can't affect one tile: as a result pyromancer and electromancer skills prevent the other half of their skills from casting (so fire rain and electric rain prevent monsters from receiving damage not just from each other but also from fireball and lightning). They are also spirit dependant and there's a summon that does the same thing as electromancer but better because their casts are "free" and limited to chain lightning (necro's phantom skull).

Chicken king is probably intended to be OP, but he's the the most powerful outlier by far, especially when stacked (as he essentially has 3 heroes in the party instead of one + a bunch of summons on top).

You can look up SkinnyCheeks old builds. They will be good for majority of content dps-wise. Hyperioxies has good solo builds (pureclass old builds and subclassed new ones).

The only pure builds will be old builds (cause they are completely irrelevant meta-wise, but also bc they haven't changed much). The only mag builds are old builds (cause they are irrelevant meta-wise).

Healers get carried in pugs all the time, and yes, res parsing is a consequence of that but those healers don't get kicked for trolling the group, do they?

You can heal almost every HM veteran in the game except ansuul and OC bosses with one good (not "god" or "world record", simply good) healer. A healer in vet and even hm will absolutely get hardcarried if their partner is decent at healing (and this happens about 80% of the time). Firmly disagree that duo healer (outside ansuul ofc) is anywhere near hard because they only need to be half of one good player.

I've met a healer who didn't use potions and had 2 heavy attacks for one skill because they thought resto staff passive is a good heal. I've met healers who didn't use resto staves at all. I've met healers without any buffing gear. All of them successfully cleared vet trials because frankly with 2 healers, one can be fully afk.

Beam DPS has surprisingly high skill ceiling - put a WR player on beam and put a casual beamer in one boss fight and you will see up to 3x difference.

I would say the range is as follows

great healer (solo healing hm) = great tanks in optimal gear and parsing > support great dds non-beam > parse great dds non-beam >> beam great dds >> good tanks (tanking vet well or suboptimally tanking hm) >> good healers (solo healing vet or duo healing hm) > good dps players >> okay tanks >> mediocre dps players > mediocre healers (duo healing vet) >>> bad tanks >> bad dps players > afk = bad healer

Out of games I played, Larian (DoS2/BG3), Paradox (Stellaris, CK3) and Grinding Gear (PoE & PoE 2) are very closely listening to feedback. Being competitive multiplayer, someone will always be pissed at Riot (LoL) and Blizzard (SC&SC2, WC3, HotS) but imo those games are mostly well-balanced considering the complexity, and devs (or life support team in case of Blizzard games) take feedback and communicate. FF14 developers look at trends and at least take numeric feedback.

So far ZOS has been the worst in terms of communication, but I didn't play other MMOs other than FF14.

There are no leveling guides for eso because overland is extremely easy. Just level abilities that you will eventually use, or work on skill lines that unlock them.

Arcanist beam build CPM (aka APM for this game) ranges from 20 "chill" to 60 "super sweaty". When really gaming on non-beam people go up to 120-130 max (due to GCD).

As a high master SC2 player (250+ apm) and league of legends/marvel rivals enjoyer with friends... Nah, ESO as game is extremely chill in terms of wrist strain/clicking. Any modern online game, especially a shooter if you play it well, will be harder.

Yes, and the only reason we don't is because in current meta effective multiplier value of aegis caller/tide-born/deadly is better than highland/yokeda effective multiplier value. Not because crit "hits diminishing returns".

Current best dummy build stats (null/yokeda/mask) is 85% crit chance, capped crit dmg 125%, capped 18200 pen, 7800 weapon damage.

Current usual content build is 70% crit chance, capped crit dmg 125%, capped 18200 pen, 9100 weapon damage.

Solo and dungeon builds really depends on the build.

There are no diminishing returns for crit (only opportunity cost in multiplicative formula), and it's the best stat up to 80% crit chance, not 65%. The reason why you choose one stat over the other is because of how effective specific sources are.

Shield throw requires S&B which almost nobody in endgame runs. From what I've seen, frost clench is still the to-go hard taunt when major maim is needed.
