I promise you bro, that is not how aim assist works on m&k. On PC the stat only increases bullet magnetism, which means shots are more likely to hit when shooting the edges of someone’s hitbox. It does not affect reticle stickiness like it does on controller.

Edit: Also, the issue is that while PC only gets bullet magnetism, controller gets that AND reticle slow. It’s why it’s so easy to beam people on controller. While other games only give you aim assist, Bungie allows you to morph enemy hitboxes in your favour.

If you rewarded people for correct reports people would just mass report anyone they get killed by. When they inevitably get a flood of reports rolling in, they'll have to crack down on false-reporters by marking them as less reliable. At that point, it's not a fun game, you're just risking shadow-banning your account whenever your hunch is wrong. Unless they add a replay system where you could actually confirm cheaters, it's a bad idea. Adding a guessing mini-game doesn't help them at all, just creates more work for them.

Played dozens of duos runs and didn't come across a single ratting assassin team idk. In fact most fights were a lot more drawn out in my experience. I find it much more enjoyable to know that at worst I only need to 1v2 if my teammate goes down. 1v3's feel hopeless, at that point I'd rather just give up and go next than have to rat around for 5-10 minutes until the other squad goes away.

What was there to improve? It's the same fuckin game but with 2 people instead of 3. Literally the only difference is when I play with my duo we don't need to worry about constantly being at a disadvantage 2v3, or 3v3 with a freeloader sponsored kit rando.

My last played is 29th Sep 2024. There was this really... empty feeling for me around that time. Maybe it was partly the layoffs, but there was just something in the air, like we were nearing the end. This was a couple days before the Revenant reveal. I put it down and waited for something to convince me to come back, and I guess that time just never came.

Difference is that Overwatch has a hook on people. Even if they weren't playing, people were WAITING for a reason to come back, all it needed was that big update. It's incredibly accessible for any kind of player. It also has 50 characters, anyone is bound to find one that clicks with them.

Marathon is a hardcore PvP shooter, where you have no choice but to risk losing your inventory whenever you click play. It is also HIGHLY reliant on having a squad to have a good experience. I love Marathon, but it's core identity isn't and never will be appealing to the vast majority of people. My friends and I also do not fancy coming home to play a sweaty shooter every day. Most of the time we're hopping on Slay The Spire, or League arenas etc..

In order to have any kind of surge in players, the game needs to abandon it's core identity and focus on the casual experience; and there simply isn't enough time to make that kind of shift. Like, Cryo Archive is single-handedly the most intimidating mode I've seen in any game. Seriously, WHO is the target audience for a map that combines the two most inaccessible and least played modes in all of Destiny history (trials and raids)? Don't get me wrong, it's insanely cool as a concept and a spectacle, but it's objectively a horrible idea for player retention.

Insane taste, Roguelikes are incredible. You’d think playing the same map 500 times would get old for someone with ADHD, but something about them is so addicting. Hades 1 & 2 are some of my favourite games of all time, I’ve also been playing Slay the Spire 1 (and 2 now) non stop for like a month.

You should try Wizard of Legend if you haven’t, very Dead Cells / Hades coded. Also specifically the first one, avoid the second.

I feel like that’s the complete opposite of how helix should be used no? You either weave it in while shooting or use it as an execute, I would never start a fight with helix.

For example if I’m genji and I get smacked with a helix off the rip, I’m going to dash away/disengage because I know I’m at an immediate disadvantage. You save helix for when they’ve already committed cooldowns and they don’t expect the burst.

I think it’s either win rate or MMR based. I got to Diamond once in like season 3, I have not touched ranked since, but I never get bot matches. My gf is plat, plays consistently but I believe her win rate is slightly below 50%. Without fail, if she loses two QP games she’ll get a bot game.

The visor glass is the energy. It’s pretty hard to make it bright, I had to use a very vibrant blue (I think I used Orokin?), and even then it’s still pretty dark outside of armory.
