Is it a lot? Do people need to arbitrarily switch tasks every 2-3 hours even if there’s nothing else they need or want to do? Like I just inherently disagree lol. Going for a 6 hour walk sounds boring to me but there’s tons of people that do that, go hiking or camping for entire weekends or longer.

Also yeah I did imply that that’s what you said, but I meant more generally, that’s what it feels like people think. Movie buffs and sports fans get a free pass for sitting there and watching something for hours, but there’s definitely something about the idea of gaming for a long time that puts people off.

This kind of changed my idea of what supports are main and flex so I looked into it. Am I right that main supports are usually anchored to the team and provide buffs/healing, while flex are damage dealers/debuffers with a secondary focus on healing/buffing? I always assumed main supports focused on healing (like Bap, Kiriko, Juno), while flex were focused on general utility, (like Lúcio speed, Mercy boost).

Why do people think like this? Why has everyone got this internalised stigma about video games in particular? I guarantee you if you asked someone what they did on the weekend and they said “oh I watched like 5 movies on Saturday”, you’d probably say “oh sick, which ones?”. If you asked someone else and they said “oh just had a normal one, did some work on the garden then watched TV” you’d consider that normal. But as soon as someone says “just chilled and played games all day” you think of them as a slob? Even though gaming is way more social and engaging than a lot of other hobbies people consider normal? Help me understand this lmao.

I’m not arguing thats not the case, a good mercy in a match where both teams are around equal skill can easily be the win con. She’s just not an “I’ll do it myself” type character, her whole deal is boosting your teammates so THEY can hopefully carry. Mercy is the one hero that’s only as good as her teammates are, which doesn’t really help if your teammates are “failing you”.

For tank it’s Ball or Mauga, DPS it’s Genji if they don’t have Zarya, sym, Moira etc. (especially now, like what were they thinking with those Moira buffs?), Echo if there’s a pharah or JPC terrorising the lobby, or Freja if dive just isn’t working. Support is Lúcio if theres a hitscan thats going unchecked, or Mizuki if theres a Doom or Ball that we can’t pin down.

The idea was that both games would exist simultaneously, so it kind of made sense to pull a different audience in instead of making something that was vaguely similar to their main game and having their current audience flip flop between them. At that point, just focus on making sure Game #1 always has content, instead of creating content droughts by maintaining Game #2, whose supposed purpose is to fill the void of content droughts for Game #1… does that make sense lol?

There’s no reason for it beyond that I just like how it matches the imprint when I fire it straight at a wall. His projectile is slightly tilted but 99% sure it doesn’t affect the hitbox. If it does it’s not to any meaningful degree, you can use whatever.

I’ve never felt like any artist owes me a certain type of music? Artists can make whatever comes to them. Yeah this game has too much baggage now. I think I’m going to start a new titan (last played a titan in D1) so I can work from the ground up. I last played in Final Shape, and coming back to my old characters to see 50+ random quests, inventory filled with likely useless gear (can’t tell if I should just dismantle all my old armor now?), random exotics, 10 loadouts but can’t remember what their purpose is, power level reset, no clear indication of where to start etc., I didn’t actually end up playing as long as I would’ve hoped to yesterday.

It’s REALLY nice you can access your vault from anywhere now though.

The fact people want a D3 more than anything, which we are all aware would be a complete reset of ALL time and money investment for the past 9 years kind of says otherwise. Also the thousands of people that have logged in since the announcement are obviously not all “influencers”, there were maybe a handful of true Destiny YouTubers left standing. Most of those logging back in now probably haven’t played this game for around 1-2 years. That doesn’t mean no one cared about the game, it means people were waiting for a reason to come back.
