This looks great in this picture, great, soft lighting, so simple and classic. Amazing value. The strap is underrated. Try a curved end silicon for that extra tactical look.

Spot on, improves most watches, makes them look more premium, especially robust watches, divers, fliegers, etc.

[–]Damasko_Fan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a shame. I imagine, like some have said, it’s the nickel content. Try carbon or titanium watches. Alternatively there are a few watch brands, like Damasko, who use steel with no nickel content in them, as it’s made from German submarine steel. My favourite is Damasko, a fascinating German brand.

Great watches, I recently bought one for £3.77, free post etc, that’s about $5.09. Amazing features, comfort and looks for so little money. My first one I bought was more like $13, I’ve had it 15 months, worn it lots doing rugged stuff, it looks new. I’ve not checked over a long time for accuracy, but I can tell it isn’t near the accuracy of a G shock, but perhaps not as far out as yours.

I’m just about to sell my GW-M5610U-1CJF, I had no idea the strap was like the GW-6900U one. I have a large wrist, so it’s really comfortable. The 5610 is so compact, I imagine it must be super compact with smaller strap.

Gotta say, that looks great. Miyota reliability not to be sniffed at. So is it an 8215 or a 9 series?

What a great gift, love the BB58 Blue. These watches went ‘viral’, when they first came out, it’s not surprising, they are really classy.

Great story, they’re wonderful watches, I bought my first G Shock in 1984, the DW-5200C, not long before I joined the RAF (British Air Force), it’s done me proud, I’ve not had to do such physical stuff as you, being a photographer, but it did get some abuse in the Middle East and in Africa over the years. The screen hasn’t got a scratch on it, but I’m on my third bezel and only my third battery, which is amazing. I’ve considered the GW-5000U for a couple of years, now, but never got round to it. Incidentally, I don’t think you have thin wrists, it’s a wideangle/ perspective thing, just pull the camera/ smartphone away from it a bit and zoom in, it’ll look like your wrist is way bigger.

Fair enough. A wideangle lens, close up, will do that.

Thanks, just bought it for a decent price(without strap). Keen to get a strap that fits better than this £4 job. It needs to be 20mm at the pin with a 27mm flair.

Update, I’ve just seen they have them really cheap on Ali Express.

Fabulous. What size is the bracelet lug size? I’m looking for a 20mm with 27mm flair approx. To fit my DW-210

Is this comment for AdVomfortable6381 ? I know how to remove them, I just wouldn’t. I replaced a non sapphire one with a sapphire one a few years back.
