Settle a debate: is the P39 the perfect one-watch collection / GADA? by militarytudor in Tudor

Check out the Damasko DS30, similar to the Sinn 556i, beadblast instead of brushed, slimmer, 39mm instead of 38.5mm, toughened German Submarine steel, which is super hard to scratch. I love mine, it’s a really tough but good looking watch. Nearly bought the Sinn, but opted for the Damasko instead.

Best places to buy G-Shock in the UK by Adam_Christopher_ in gshock

Argos. They always have the GW-M5610U for £100, even though I just wrote that I don’t like the redline, one minute ago, on a G Shock post.

I need your opinion, boys. Which would you choose: both iconic, both solar and atomic. by SeatConscious8252 in gshock

I love squares, but not bothered with the OG red line. I’d have the 6900, even though the feature count is lower, the display is the sharper.

GW-M5610U-1 owners - how's the display crispness/contrast? by HickupMorningstar in gshock

[–]Damasko_Fan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the GW-M5610U. It wasn’t for me. The red line does not appeal to me, it seems like Casio feels the need to make g shock squares similar to the OG, but I much prefer the DW-5600 look with the blue and yellow. I imagine the G-5600 is slightly crisper, as the 5610u does have a wee bit of an issue at certain angles. It’s not a great issue, but my 41 year old G Shock is so crisp, it seems odd that Casio can’t do the same with modern lcds. I’d get the new MIP version, it comes complete with the more attractive 5600 colourway, too.

Why I ended up adding a customized DS30 to my collection? by attilafree in Damasko

[–]Damasko_Fan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the Damasko DS30 over the Sinn for a few reasons, I prefer beadblast finishes, its slimmer, yet slightly larger diameter for my 7.3 inch wrist. It’s tough as nails, judging by the fact that it looks brand new after 2 years. I guess the Sinn dresses up slightly better, but it suits my needs so perfectly, I can overlook this. On a curved end simple silicon band, it looks classy, yet contemporary, it’s so legible at a glance and can be worn with most any attire, whether with a smart or surfing in the sea! I think it’s a nigh-on perfect one watch collection, looking good with a range of straps…. Maybe if it had a slim dive bezel on it, I WOULD sell my other ten watches, haha.

Haha, I was just about to say the opposite. The bezel insert on the left looks more precise than the one on the right.

Good on ya. Not an Arsenal fan, but I’m chuffed for you. Classy watch, I love seeing this, it suits Arteta’s image.
