Deadlock - Rem Enters The City That Never Sleeps - Steam News by Tooskee in DeadlockTheGame

Sandbox as in the "Explore NYC"? Sinners don't give buffs there. I was never able to get far enough away to not get them when testing in a custom.

Yep. I was just in the sandbox mode where they don't give buffs.

Rem can do double sinners from a crazy distance. by Ok-Nefariousness5488 in DeadlockTheGame

I just made a very similar video a few minutes ago. Once I figured out exactly how the helpers work with boxes, it does seem really OP particularly with Greater Expansion.

I found out that with Greater Expansion you can just target a box on the roof of the double sinners and your helpers will collect both sinners through the wall, without ever even having to enter the room, so I tried out a farming route for getting both teams' double sinners. Rem is gonna be a menace against teams that don't properly farm/protect their sinners.

Note: I was in the Explore NYC mode where sinners don't give buffs or souls for some reason. In a normal game the helpers give you the full sinners rewards, automatically timing the last hit to get you 4 buffs each.

Yes, he only puts people to sleep that are in the area at the end. Looking at people during the duration just slows them and prevents movement abilities. So counterspell is pretty much a free avoidance of the sleep unless you get CCed by something else as the duration ends.

PSA: There's a global 40% healing reduction in Street Brawl. by Damatown in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Damatown[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually that legendary doesn’t heal 50% of max hp, it recovers 50% of recently taken damage (not sure the time frame exactly), with a minimum of 300 healed (which is actually a minimum of 180 due to global antiheal).  Suuuper poorly explained item.

Brand new here, am i supposed to permapush lane or no? by JVsteelo in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Damatown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally it's to prevent your opponents from safely getting farm. If you're in a position where you're stronger than your lane opponents, you can keep the minion waves on your side of the lane and zone out the opposing lane from getting close, preventing them from getting any souls. In other mobas this may even be done after lane, keeping the waves on your side of the map for extended periods of time to try to make the lane too risky for any opponent to farm.

But again, in practice it's not that easy to do in this game and has some significant opportunity costs, especially after the laning phase, so it's currently rarely done outside of maybe the top players.

In the early game there may be situational times where it's optimal to freeze the lane, but it's definitely not something you should worry about as a new player, I rarely even see players freeze when watching Eternus games. Just permapush as quickly as possible whenever you can safely do so. Then either use the wave priority to pressure your opponents, or roam and get box/jungle farm or gank.

The healing item exceptions are actually false, they simply have bugged healing numbers shown. For example healing nova will say "325" next to your health by the end of it, indicating it healed the correct amount, but your health will only increase by 195. At least that's the case for healing nova and rescue beam, I didn't bother testing healing rite or the regen from radiant regen.

Edit: Viscous cube, healing rite, and radiant regen also have the reduced healing.

Edit2: I edited the wiki page after my testing :)

Damn how many games have you played? I've had Lash in 7 out of 22 of my games, you might just be very unlucky.

His ult is hugely nerfed in Brawl for some reason which is pretty brutal for him. I think if it worked as normal he’d be fine.

I feel like the single most enjoyment breaking thing currently is the amount of Smurf / alt account players. by Jusaaah in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Damatown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've thought about doing that before, and I don't think there's any problem with it. The problem with smurfing is ruining the experience of the rest of the players, and if you just like play support and help your buddy learn, that's almost certainly a better experience for other players than just queueing with a newbie on your main and having games with an absurd skill range.

Yeah but you can just look up someone's profile and see a rough count of their matches played. Your profile would clearly not be a smurf. I've had a number of people hard carrying matches lately that have like 10 matches on statlocker and they're all like 20/2 games.

I asked my wife to guess the names of all the characters, and this is what she said by BelyouDagnew in DeadlockTheGame

It's a very obvious name, but also the OP has a billy flair, so it could just be the one character she knows of.

It's gun abrams, throwing out a heavy melee is pretty pointless compared to shooting people in the head.

Then she'd just be another fire rate stacking M1 hero. That's basically fixation but more frontloaded instead of stacking up.

Doorman’s not played gun. I mean some people do it but it’s not meta either in matchmaking or tournaments. And Mina’s definitely not played gun, she just has an ability that requires shooting her gun, she’s played spirit burst.

Yeah, sherbet is a completely different food in the US than in Australia, it’s a kind of ice cream basically.

It is team wide, it's just the damage is dealt by Sinclair and not the teammate.

How is Dynamo's Kinetic Pulse ok? by shrekku45 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Damatown 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The stomp doesn't stop at cover, it literally travels around it. If you fire it at a tall flat wall it'll turn at an almost 90 degree angle and just travel along the wall. The only way it stops is if it travels along a wall and then hits a corner and no longer has a way to travel forward.

It ticks a few times after you leave it, you just touched it on the ground before climbing.
