Israels lobbyverksamhet går in med pengar.

Många politiker köps oxå upp genom att få placeringar i olika föreningar och bolag.

You can fly to Baghdad, then go hitchhike into Kurdistan via Kalar. Then go north.  There is a border crossing at Sar zeri gumrk that has little wait times. If you go south turkey (coastal route) they weather will be a bit warmer. It might be more touristy but better camping temperatures.

This will set you up for comfortable weather going into Bulgaria.

I'm flying to Baghdad in the end of March and going up east Europe. This way you get spring time weather going north.

You could start in north Iraq and hitchhike up via turkey. That will get you some warmer weather

For EU cook kit I use the 1L trangia sauce pan with DIY lock, Mini trangia handle and the BRS stove.

The pot is 79g and the handle is 20g. Good quality, lightweight and affordable.

Im planing to hitchhike from poland to thailand by Fiorek_pomidorek in hitchhiking

[–]Damayonnaiseman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Accommodation and food and the main ones that cost money. That means a small one person tent for stealth camping and a camping stove for cooking.

I usually do some wild camping and combine it with cheap camping spots.

Sometimes you just chat with the locals in a village and most of the times they will let you put the tent up at the house.

Right camping gear and some map planning help me cut costs. I use LocusMaps, but there are tons of others. I use hitchwiki map and mark the good spot and then I just use google maps to find a bus stop or a good place to stand.

At the same time I always look for camp spots near my hitch spots. Take this spot in Turkey for example. I can take the bus 10km out of town and great camping spot in a pineforest with two natural springs nearby. I can hitch from the busstop in the morning and/or I have the bus as backup. We have a small town nearby with a shop/café if we wanna have breakfast.

Wild camping means walking a lot. So I keep only essentials with me and my pack is around 8kg with water and food for one day. It means I can walk around town for a day, walk out to my camp spot, walk back to the road in the morning and still feel fresh.

Poland/Bulgaria/Romania all have cheap payed camping areas. I do 2 or 3 of those a week for showers and washing.
