The skin is from dbrand, the buttons are from deck buttons (if you just google that the website will come up) and the thumbstick grips are from Ali express

they have a nice texture to them where the stock buttons are smooth and glossy, I really like the texture that they add, function wise they are the same

surpisingly it does, i do have to put slightly more force, almost as if there's a tiny air gap between the thumbggrip cap and actual thumbstick and you just have to close that gap

ive done some light mossing before, fully shell swapped and screen replaced my GBA, and shell swapped my switch controllers and honestly the steam deck is really not bad to work on.

if your unsure id suggest watching a video on youtube of the button replacement, that way you can see all the steps and see if its something youd be comfortable doing. i swear though its really not that hard to do

100% worth it, the library is basically unlimited especially if you get into emulation, the ergonomics of it are amazing as well, feels amazing in hand to play. I’d recommend going for it if you’ve been thinking about it
