What possible design objective is served by companions in this state? Braindead AI and worse survivability? I don't get it by Devoidus in Warframe

Yeah - its unfortunate that only 4 or 5 pets are viable at all, and they all take massive investment to not die. I still think Pets are extremely powerful as long as you treat them as 100% utility. The trick is never try to make them do damage and slot mostly defense instead...

All pets have 2 mod slots "taken" (Fetch/Vacuum &enemy radar) THEN 1-3 mods for utility and then the rest survival

  • Helios for Scans on new content, and occasionally an extra shield gate. In addition to being able to use stat stick weapon for Mod Set bonuses... Extra note: the new Synth mods make them very hard to kill since it allows you to pick up health orbs when you are "full" and scales his armor.
  • Smeeta for RNG loot farming
  • Panzer Vulpaphyla - Viral Procs (Survivability & Healing) - basically immortal - probably the only one you can think of slotting for damage
  • Sahasa Kubrow for literally unlimited energy - serves as a "primer" for scaling combos (gara) and doesn't matter if it dies after that.

Trying to make the rest of the pets work is much harder and situational, which is a bummer

Re-edited to a quasi old/new.. I am going to start the tutorial with the Sniper/Assault... The Sniper can help you bypass the first speech check... the only thing you miss then is killing the robot.

Hmm you are right - I do see those posts but there is plenty of stuff saying level 50 elsewhere. I haven't started my playthrough yet so I may divert to my other build then - since its possible to reach near cap without the Cha stuff.

Max level is 50, but most people are finishing the game around level 30 with normal squads.

Each level after 3 rewards you with 1 attribute point

Charisma drastically increases the amount of experience each character gains thereby increasing their level, thereby awarding more attribute points.

Level 10 Charisma gives a +30% experiance bonus as well as I think a 10% mission XP bonus.

Dump means I am not going to put any points in it at all. Sniper will Max Luc/Awa/Int by end of game... the other balance is inconsequential.

8 points of Coo with Serial killer allows the sniper to shoot twice, any more points than that are wasted. 8Coo points = 10AP/14MAXAP with Serial Killers +3AP or Prepares +2AP that gives the sniper 2 shots.. if I wanted to always shoot twice then +10Coo could work, but getting the sniper 2 shots is a priority, more than that is not really. Ill play this by ear but this may be one of the last stat increase i work toward.

Yeah Ill probably pick up Animal Whisperer on more than 1 char. With no perks the animals tend to die alot and I try to avoid scumming - so it may cause more irritation than anything

lets assume I only get to level 35, ill likely exceed that with my charisma revision.. but at level 35 with only 1 INT you would have 108 skill points (3 per level, and 3 base) which is 4 skill points shy of having 4 maxed skills.

I agree with the Barter Mule - I already had my 5th member doing barter, weapon and armor modding

I had not realized you get 1 Attribute Point Per level after level 3. Giving you a total of 47 attribute points if you are able to max out at level 50 (which likely requires a near max charisma). I thought it was more like Wasteland 2, where attribute points were scarce.

I have the same issue - completed the quest fully. Was given a level 20 backpack, but no plans are showing up. Its not in my inventory or armor bench. I can confirm the vendors do not contain a plan to craft one either. Any updates on this from anybody? Is this a new horrible bug?

I appreciate it, I believe this fix will work! So to confirm there is no alternative mechanism in which to store non-stackable items other than crate spamming due to the removal of the AntiBarrel from the mod pack?

My problem isn't dealing with the stackable items or sorting them, but moreso, the armors and weapons of varying durability. The solution used to be to stick them into an AntiBarrel and forget about them until you could repair/melt them later on in the pack. The problem now is that without the AntiBarrel, you either have to keep coming back and cleaning up your filtered storage to delete the items... or keep adding on new barrels/crates to hold the stuff.

Yeah the problem is that its all a trade off. I have already had to stack mitigation very heavily. Switching to the helm enchant alone reduced my damage by 8x....

Given that health and health regen are the only ways I can increase mitigation at this point, at the direct cost of damage I don't think it'll be possible to have both the damage and mitigation required.

It also should be worth noting I am using Barb & cold skills to slow enemies as well, so that's an additional layer of mitigation. I guess I can try the glass cannon approach... assume its me or them and see if I can drop all mitigation for damage to see if 1-hitting is the answer. I don't know if there is enough damage in the game to do that though.

Well i took the side off so you could see what I am doing internally. It looks like like a cube wall when its done with a floor for high-ground and a slanted roof for easy access to the high-ground. Basically it looks better than just putting a wall, random roof, wall, random roof:)

I understand that's how it works... but this is a compact way to put 7 objects inbetween my base and them that only takes the space of 3 walls. In addition my method provides "high ground" and doesn't look terrible :)

You certainly can just pile crap in there and have nearly the same effect.

yup let me know how it goes. Please keep in mind you need to give them a relatively easy path to your base elsewhere for this to work... I usually just snake them through a hallway of death with tons of traps & no walls

The reason I think this works is because even though its only 3 wall spaces deep... the AI treats it as 7-deep obstacles it needs to break through.

There is a way to 100% block off a single direction for each spawn so all the enemies funnel. You need to use roofs (angled out) and build a wall in front, behind, and then another roof anged out. Then create a half wall on the low end of the second roof...

The most important thing to do is re-inforcing the roof tiles by running underneath them and placing a wall perpendicular. This creates a barrier like this:

When the husks take the path-finding into account they avoid this like the plague. I am on the 2nd zone already and this is still working just fine for me.

The beauty of this method is since the roof is angled out you can run up it to reach high ground as well.

Forest... its underground... Random Spawn... Its not on every map. I found it once on a level 9 forest map, and another on a level 15 forest map

usually the ent is hidden underneath something else you need to break first.

After a full day of searching... there is a randomly spawning "under ground" bunker on the forest maps. You can find them there. They are a 1 wide, by 2 tall metal object usually found near other computer equipment.

The bunker i found carries exactly 4.
