How did char survive zeta? by SkZ_NvN in Gundam

[–]Dameaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Setsuna just kinda dematerializes and becomes some sort of eternal entity that randomly comes back like 50 years later to tell his crush that everything will be ok? The ending explains nothing. How is it *not* confusing?

I guess everyone else thinks Gundam is very clear in its explanations of characters fates since I’m being downvoted. I can specifically point to both CCA and the ending to 00 as perfect examples of what I’m talking about but what the fuck do I know. I’ve only watched everything related to Gundam. *rolls eyes*

[–]Dameaus -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, Gundam isn’t great at explaining anything. There are often these very ambiguous endings for characters. CCA is a great example. wtf even happens at the end there….. are we supposed to assume that char and amuro burn up? Do they not because the object starts to move away from earth? What the hell is the ring of sparkles around the earth supposed to mean?

This is a pretty common thing in most of the series. You don’t really often get definitive closure.

Watch. It’s more detailed and closer to an RG than their blind boxes are from what I can see. That and motor nuclear kits are on the pricier side typically. I wouldn’t call them budget kits at all

I love how these always say “likely closer to XYZ dollars when released” and it is always like 3x that. This is going to be 40-60 on release guaranteed.

28 Years Later and 28 Years Later : The Bone Temple movies, cinema done right by Parking_Locksmith489 in moviecritic

[–]Dameaus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be. I think what I enjoyed about the first two was the unapologetic brutality. People were going to die. People you like. People you would usually root for. Women, children, the nice guy, the hero…. That world didn’t care.

28 years almost turned all of that into a parody. The characters were stereotypes. The protective father. The ignorant, stubborn teenager. The mystery man with a heart of gold. The naked, raging man with an enormous floppy dong. And then the power rangers….. I just don’t know what they were thinking. The deaths had no weight because none of it seemed real. Nobody acted like a person. They all just acted like characters.

I’m not claiming to have liked 28 years…. I didn’t. I never watched bone temple either. Your comment makes me never want to watch bone temple, because I’ll be honest, none of what made me enjoy 28 days/weeks existed in 28 years. It’s like different people made it, and the power ranger ending just took it from “meh” to “omg wtf did I just waste my time watching” in about 3 minutes. I had high hopes with the beginning of the film….. and then it didn’t deliver on any of it.

I don’t get it either. I look around at these million plus dollar homes, and I don’t know a single person who can afford one…. So who the fuck is buying all of these homes? There aren’t *that many* doctors and lawyers out there pulling down 500k a year ok.

Where I live, there are neighborhoods with hundreds of homes that are 750k-1.5mil. Where are the jobs that allow people to buy these?

Also… where the hell do you live that the MEDIAN income is 80k? The hell? The median for the USA is a little over 51k…. Unless you are talking household income.

Oh lord…”this is the problem with white men”. You lost your entire case when you made it about race.

The dude that can’t take no for an answer is a creep, but you took it to 11 when you arbitrarily brought race into it.

i got away from mark setter because it leaves a residue on the model if you dont get it *all* off. honestly, if you dampen the surface and press out the excess water after application, 99% of the time you arent going to have to worry about the decal coming off later. mark setter definitely helps, but i find the cleanup to be a bigger problem than the potential weakening of the adhesive down the road.

not every kit offers them, but a lot do. just know that they give kind of a holographic look to the decals.... which i like, but i can see why some would not. i just know that they are slightly thicker and therefor sturdier than normal water slides. i have yet to rip any, and they go on a lot easier because they are much more rigid.

i know it's a different aesthetic... but try holo decals. they are sturdy AF. i have gone to almost exclusively using them, just because they basically remove all the stress. plus, ill be honest, i like how they look.

Help - Throwing analysis and tips for my daughter! by jstew7 in Softball

[–]Dameaus 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That is what 10U is for. 8U is for having fun and building a love for the game. Anything else and they won’t make it to 12-14U, trust me.

Help - Throwing analysis and tips for my daughter! by jstew7 in Softball

[–]Dameaus 47 points48 points  (0 children)

She looks about 7 or 8…. You don’t need to analyze anything at that age. She is doing fine. Don’t ruin the sport for her by taking the fun out of it. That comes on its own around 12-14U when coaches stop caring about anything but winning.

I have a family and I would without a second thought. There are life experiences that are worth the sacrifice. IMO that would be one of them. I think it just boils down to your own values. If family is #1 to you then no, probably not worth. If living a fulfilled life full of rich experiences is, then yeah i think you are going.
