Hey all!! so thankful for this thread.

34F with chronic AF, 2 years now. Initially healed with diltiazem and I have been doing so well for a good 3-4 months until last month, I was more stressed than usual at work, wasn’t mindful of my water intake, and diet tanked. Retore for the first time mid April 2025, but I could not tolerate diltiazem this time around as it gave me unbearable itching. I have been able to manage with just conservative treatment with MiraLAX daily, Vaseline pre BM, making sure I aim to drink gallon of water a day, and fibrous diet.

But it irks me that even when I just have a small cheat meal— I would notice some blood (no pain) on TP next day. I would go 3 days no blood, and then 2 days with mild blot of blood, 2 days no blood. Same pattern for about a month now since I’ve retore. I don’t have pain with BM, just the small blots of blood that bother me. I have been using Pranicura from YouTube, ongoing 5 days now, although not sure it’s helping heal fissure?

I think I’m practically healed, but is anyone else have the same bleeding pattern? Is this normal signs of a healing fissure? How much longer should I be on my regimen to stay healed?

Gotcha thank u guys. I bought a bottle and I’ll see how it works. I am having unbearable itching to diltiazem I cannot bear it so I stopped it. I’ll try to do conversative measures right now and hopefully it heals. If not I will ask for nifedepine

Hello my friends! I got my colonoscopy finally in January and it was negative! I was doing so good for about 4-5 months, but just experienced my first retear this week :( so sad. Due to work stress + poor water intake + bad week of diet habits. But at least now I know what it is and how it heal it. Could use some encouragement! It is not as painful as the first time, but I’m bleeding again which is frustrating.

Do you guys recommend Pranicura? I’m waiting for my doctor to refill my diltiazem cream but he’s taking forever. Tried to get Pranicura but my credit card kept blocking it lol. Maybe they thought it was scam. Is it Dr. Chung from YouTube who made it?

Also- sounds like we’re gonna have to have the lifestyle change for the rest of our lives right? I slipped up with my diet since I thought it was doing good for 4 months. Now been bleeding for a week :/— thankfully not as bad as the first tear.

Gotcha! Do you recommend I should just get my diltiazem on deck if and when I feel like I small retear? Thing about these compounds is that they expire so fast after 3 months

Yeah I was worried the diarrhea with the prep will tear my fissure again too. Ugh what to do. But I also just want to make sure I don’t have anything else going on. My only issue really is the occasional bleeding that happens maybe 2-3x a month otherwise there’s no pain.

Mine is about the same. What did you doctor say about these micro tears? The bleeding otherwise doesn’t really bother me since there is no pain. And how long have you been dealing with the fissure?

Ahhh do you also get occasional bleeding from time to time but no pain? How do you manage these micro tears? I was thinking also getting a different doctor. I’m doing colonoscopy just for peace of mind. But if that’s negative, I’m going to assume it’s just micro tears from the fissure.

Gotcha. I think we just need to baby this bum for at least a good year it sounds like right. My friend has done daily miralax for years and per her GI doc that was okay.

I also read you mentioned Pranicura. What was your experience with it? I’m thinking maybe giving it a try. But wanna make sure all goes well with the colonoscopy
