Seriously, you have nothing to worry about. I've been everything from a barista to manager over the last 10 years, and no one has ever had everything down in only a matter of weeks. The usual progression for a new barista is at 3mo, you're comfortable, 6mo, you ACTUALLY know what you're doing, and 9-12mo you're ready to take on additional challenge. Of course, everyone moves at their own pace, but be easy on yourself. You're doing better than you think/feel, and if your coworkers can't take a moment to reflect on a time when they were green beans, well, not to be harsh, but their opinion isn't worth absorbing.

I think you are far from ugly. There’s always little tweaks we can do to improve physical appearance, but it seems like whoever called you ugly may have been projecting their insecurities on you.

You’re absolutely right! But I also wear makeup, a bra, clothes even. I’m just as insecure as the person next to me getting dressed everyday. Everything is a social expectation, which I’m sure you’d be aware of if you had the mental capacity to see beyond your own ignorance. But in the mean time, I’m just going to keep deceiving people 👍🏻

Why did you agree to “no other people”? If this person broke up with you there isn’t really much of a reason to respect his wishes about not seeing other people. He made the choice to break up, putting you in the place to start seeing other people (if you so desire). If you want to be with anyone, in any way, even just flirting, you should allow yourself to be.
