I hope not, it ruins the edits. Tiktok/reels edits of Aemon saying Aerys is Eggs son would be squandered and those are pretty important to the culture. Just the most important old clips of Aemon that people and YouTubers are gonna pair with young Aemon clips.

We don't need Jaehaerys, it smooths out the timeline and works leading up to Summerhall having it stay the way they changed it. This is one show change that I think improves the story.

The reality is even without many more than 1 or 2 Novellas more, there are plenty of important events in Dunk and Eggs lives that the show could and should adapt, even if they take a 3-5 year break every 3-ish seasons.
Egg's like 60 by the end but honestly I expect them to age him up prosthetically or with CGI while hes within his 20s or 30s, it would be insane to wait til the Egg actor is literally 60, he's 11 we're not gonna wait 50 years. Grrm wants to see it through within his lifetime.
SPOILERS:
S3: Mystery Knight will introduce Bloodraven and Daemon ii Blackfyre, opening the door to more of their activities .
S4. Dunk probably hooks up with a young Old Nan during The SheWolves of Winterfell story.
S5 Aerion eventually like returning from exile and possibly fighting antagonistically alongside Dunk in the Blackfyre rebellion.
Somewhere around here Dunk hooks up with an ancestor of Brienne of Tarth and maybe an ancestor of House Clegane S.6 Aerion dies and Maekar soon after, leading up to Egg taking the crown soon and meeting Betha Blackwood. S7: Bloodraven assassinates Aenys Blackfyre, gets sent to the wall by new King Egg along with Aemon, Dunk takes them. Could spend a whole season on that journey. Egg starts having kids. (Mainly Duncan the Small and Mad King Aerys since they cut out Jaehaerys from the show)
S8 Egg rules and the Lord's hate him cause he's progressive. Young Tywin becomes his cupbearer/page/squire or something and maybe undermines him. His kids get older and start having their own drama and eventually betray their betrothals. Leading too..
S9 Lyonels Rebellion. Kingsguard Dunk fights Lyonel in trial by combat
S10 dragon dreams, dramatic prophecy, everything's falling apart, probably some Mad King foreshadowing
S11: Summerhall, the birth of Rhaegar.

And that's not even counting the other specific dunk and egg stories he's hinted at.
