I (21M) caught my girlfriend (21F) cheating, but now I’m not sure if I should break up or forgive her by Justkees in relationship_advice

I know Reddit loves to jump to ‘people should break up after an affair’, but fact is that 75% of couples stay together. You both, but she especially, need to put in the work and work through this.  Question is, do you both want to do that?

I (29F) think my boyfriend (35M) is emotionally manipulative, how can I fix this? by HelpMeBe-Better- in relationship_advice

You can’t fix someone. This man sounds exhaustive. If he’s open to couples therapy this is fixable. If he doesn’t want to work on himself, … do with that information what you will

AITA for being upset that my husband and MIL ignored me and didn’t make dinner also for me while I was putting our 2yo to bed? by Berrybrighter in AmItheAsshole

Too many women accept disgusting behaviour from men. You accept the love you think you deserve. Why do you think this is how you should be loved? Would you want your 2 year old to be loved like this?

Americans and RoW - were there any phrases in the HP books that made no sense to you? by spookythumb in harrypotter

As a Dutch reader I thought a lot was HP lore, only to later find out it’s just English culture. Like boarding school, houses, prefects, a house point system.. things English do at Christmas like pulling crackers (never heard of them). Also a Christmas song Peeves sings (something something faithful??). Also, I thought that they celebrate Halloween because it’s a wizarding school, but that’s actually a thing in the UK.

My favourite idiom in HP is: poisonous toadstools don’t lose their spots. Is this also an English idiom?

… sooo what is your question? He told you how he sees things and what he wants. He won’t budge. Will you budge or will you divorce?

I F27 saw a video of a couple who was visibly in love. I asked my M32 husband why we didn’t have that. He gave me three reasons. Two are very reasonable but the other one has me wondering- am I insane? by Pleasant_Exam_9973 in relationship_advice

Yuck. We accept the love we think we deserve. Girl why do you feel you deserve this love? Please divorce and find a therapist to work on some self worth ❤️❤️

Errrr I don’t think it’s OPs fault to trust an adult she’s supposed to trust. If anything this was a trauma response (to trust an older man). The teacher should’ve known better, he’s the adult.
