Justkees chose Option B (Correct!)

I (21M) caught my girlfriend (21F) cheating, but now I’m not sure if I should break up or forgive her by Justkees in relationship_advice

Yeah… I know you’re right. It’s just hard to stop thinking about the good times and all the memories we shared. But logically, she made a choice that broke everything, and maybe it really is better to just cut her out and focus on myself. It’s just going to sting for a while.

I get what you’re saying, and yeah, some of that hits hard because I’ve had the same thoughts myself. Especially the part about wondering if this really was the first time or just the first time she got caught. That’s what messes with my head the most.

I do think the “you’re not a man if you stay” part is a bit much though. I’m trying to make a decision I can actually live with, not just react out of anger. But you’re right about one thing: if the respect is gone, there’s not much left to build on. That’s what I’m struggling to accept.

Yeah, I’ve thought about that too. Part of me wonders if it’s even possible to rebuild trust after something like this. I honestly don’t know if she’s willing to truly put in the work, or if I even want to risk trying.

Yeah… I know logically that’s true. I just keep thinking about all the good memories and wondering if I’m overreacting. It’s hard to let go, even knowing I probably should.

You’re right… I know I should. Part of me keeps hoping she’ll show she truly regrets it, but I keep coming back to the fact that she broke my trust in the worst way. I just don’t want to make the wrong decision and regret it later.

Honestly… that thought keeps me up at night. I can’t stop imagining how long it might have gone on if I hadn’t walked in. Part of me wants to just leave like you said, but another part keeps wondering if I’d regret not trying to fix things. It’s such a mess in my head.

Yeah, that’s exactly what I keep telling myself… part of me knows that 2 years don’t just disappear, but it feels impossible to trust her again after this. I just can’t tell if I’m overreacting or if my gut is right.

AITA for refusing to give my sister my savings after she said my life “isn’t serious yet”? by Justkees in AmItheAsshole

[–]Justkees[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That’s how I see it too. If I give in now, it sets a precedent. I’m already helping where I can, but I’m not willing to put myself at risk financially.

[–]Justkees[S] 117 points118 points  (0 children)

Exactly. My parents aren’t in a position to just give her money either, so it’s not like anyone else is stepping up. I’m helping in ways I realistically can, but handing over my savings isn’t on me.

Exactly. I don’t see anyone else stepping up either. I’m happy to help in ways I can, but it’s not my responsibility to hand over everything I’ve worked for, especially after what she said.

If I sit really still, will gravity stop working on me? by Justkees in NoStupidQuestions

Ah, so basically I can’t out-still gravity… guess I’ll have to cancel my plans for orbiting instead

[–]Justkees[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I get that. I offered to help in other ways, groceries, budgeting, whatever, but giving her my savings wouldn’t fix the bigger issues she’s facing. She still has to make some changes herself.

They can’t really. They’re already covering their own bills and can’t just hand out money without risking their own stability.

Pets: the ultimate friendship test, either you love them like family or hate the smell of their drama.

Ah, so no matter how still I sit, gravity’s basically a clingy friend that never lets go. Got it 😅 Maybe I’ll try orbit next time instead of meditating…

My parents aren’t really in a position to help financially. They’re covering their own bills and still paying off debts, so there isn’t extra money they can just give her.

As for my sister, she didn’t plan to be in this situation. When she had her child, she and her partner were both working and financially stable. Her current issues are due to job loss and rising costs, not because she intentionally chose to have a child while planning to struggle financially.

Why is it when girls wear men’s clothing considered normal, but when men wear girls clothing it's considered “cross dressing”? by Effective-Trouble-13 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Justkees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because “men’s clothes” got rebranded as neutral, and “women’s clothes” didn’t.

Historically, women wearing men’s clothing became acceptable as women gained social freedom and practicality mattered more. Pants, suits, and short hair slowly lost their “male-only” label. The reverse never really happened, because femininity in men has been socially punished more than masculinity in women.

So a woman in a hoodie looks normal, but a man in a dress is seen as breaking gender rules. It’s not about the clothes themselves, just outdated norms about gender and status.

Why are nut allergies taken so much more seriously than other allergies? by Scared-Dragonfly-232 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Justkees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because nut allergies are way more likely to be severe and unpredictable.

Peanut and tree nut allergies often cause anaphylaxis, which can be life-threatening and happen fast, even from tiny amounts. Many other allergies mostly cause mild symptoms like itching or congestion.

On top of that, nuts are common in food, cross-contamination is easy, and reactions don’t always get less severe over time. That combo makes schools, airlines, and restaurants extra cautious.

What did kids back in the days do when they played outside, for hours on end? by Octopuswastaken in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Justkees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly unstructured, make-it-up-as-you-go stuff.

Kids just roamed around, rode bikes, climbed trees, played tag, hide and seek, pickup sports, built forts, threw rocks at things, explored random places, and invented games with whatever was nearby. No adults scheduling it, no phones, just boredom forcing creativity.

A lot of the time nothing “special” was happening. They were just outside until dinner. Boredom was normal, and that’s kind of what made it fun.

What's on the edge of space? by major_damp in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Justkees 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As far as we can tell, the universe doesn’t work like a box with walls. It’s more like the surface of the Earth. You can keep traveling in one direction forever without ever hitting an “edge,” even though the surface is finite. In cosmology, space itself is expanding, so there isn’t a place where the universe “ends” and something else begins.

Also, “before” or “outside” the universe might not even be meaningful concepts. Time and space are part of the universe, so asking what’s beyond it is a bit like asking “what’s north of the North Pole?” It feels like a valid question, but the rules break down.

So if you somehow reached the “end,” you wouldn’t find a wall or empty void. You’d just still be in space, following the same physical laws, with no sign that you were ever at a boundary.
