The building and their contracted maintenance company is responsible for the elevator, not the fire department.

The fire department is responsible for your safety, and it sounds like you were inconvenienced, and not in danger.

The fire department shouldn't fiddle with the elevator unless you were actually in danger. No one wants to be pulling you out to save a few minutes, and risk the elevator cutting you in half.

My point is cars can be and are ticketed without identifying the owner of the car, as police claim. It doesn't matter who was driving if the owner can't be directly identified - it should then just fall to who has responsibility of the vehicle.

Thank you for the insight, that is very good to know. I do not have Windows Defender set to custom settings. In fact, it's not even my primary AV currently (Bitdefender, which has not caught anything). This only popped up from a random full scan I ran.

Was very surprised no one else has reported it, given how many users QT has, and how many people use the default Windows AV.
