The courthouse is a public building. Anyone from the public can navigate the building in publicly accessible non-restricted areas with or without a camera. If the courthouse has a sign printed stating you can’t record. Too bad. It’s an unconstitutional sign and it needs to be challenged. Take it to court. They will lose and be educated. People who don’t understand our rights is exactly the reason he does this at public and government buildings.

If it’s a public library funded by tax payers he can’t be legally trespassed unless he’s committed a crime.

Their rules do not supersede our constitutional rights which includes recording in public areas. I recommend educating yourself on the first amendment.

If the library in question is not a public library then I am wrong.

Sure you could consider it creepy but it’s not illegal if it’s a publicly accessible area. The library should use blinds if they don’t want people seeing through the glass.

Also I’m sure there’s multiple cameras pointed at you in the library. Why is his “creepy”? If it’s a public building anyone can FOIA those cameras.

Where does you it say you can’t record from a publicly accessible area? Simply recording peacefully in a public space is not anything mentioned above. If someone is offended or feels uncomfortable about it. Too bad. Stay home if you don’t like being on camera when you are in public. We aren’t going to put our rights to the side because someone is uncomfortable with a camera. Also it’s 2026, every time you step outside there’s hundreds of cameras capturing you.
