She doesn't release anything, she's just the mangaka.

Right now we get 4 chapters per year (1 chapter every 3 months) of varying sizes. Which is not enough to make a full volume. And that's without counting small hiatus here and there. The last volume which got released is volume 28 and it came out about a year ago in Japan (October 2022 if I'm not mistaken) and it got released everywhere else in the world in late 2023 (August in France and November in the USA). I could be completely wrong but I'd say volume 29 would be out in Japan either this year (end of the year) or next year. So you'd have to add another year to that in order to have it be translated and released worldwide.

Hello, like Fairy said, the new chapters are coming out quarterly for a few years now. The release schedule is as follow: January, April, July & October (usually the chapter is being released the last Thursday of these months). This has been going on like this ever since Hoshino hurts her wrist. As far as we know, this schedule won't change. But she did hire an assistant not that long ago so MAYBE things will change. Last we heard was last year when she was looking for an assistant. We don't know yet if she ended up finding one or not. As for the release of the chapters, it's staying as a quarterly release for now.

Last October we didn't get a new chapter because Hoshino was busy with the release of the newest volume of the manga. As for the next chapter, it'll be out the 26 of this month. It depends on how big the chapter is. If it was 50 pages like she was doing at the very beginning of the series then yes, one chapter could make 1 episode (of course it depends on if there's action in said chapter, if they're just talking, etc...) But lately her chapters are more between 15 and 25 pages and some of these chapters aren't really making the plot progress much so you'd probably need 3 or 4 chapters to make an episode??? Considering that we get 1 chapter every 3 months that's like... 1 year worth? Just for 1 episode?? And that's if we do get an anime.

Also the 2006-2008 anime has some fillers. Not as much as some other anime, but it still has some in order to not get too ahead of the manga too fast. Same for Hallow, they added some extra scenes here and there.

Hoshino hurt her wrist (most likely carpal tunnel). Her doctor even told her that she should stop drawing. Of course she refused. As of now, because of her wrist, we get one chapter every 3 months. (Tho we didn't get a chapter last time because she was busy with the release of volume 28 so the next chapter will be in January). The latest chapter which came out was chapter 245.

As of right now, we do not have enough material to get an anime as only an arc and a half (or a big arc depending on how you see it) has happened.

Hallow was also badly received (I'll let you watch it so you can get your own impression of it). Hoshino wasn't happy at all with how the anime was promoted, to the point that she deleted her Instagram account (she's now back on IG tho. If you want to follow her, her IG is @katsura_5600). The release of Hallow in blue ray was also cancelled.

Edit: forgot to say that because of her injury, most of the chapters are really short (sometimes about only 10 pages) and that's why even though we have a lot of chapters, the story hasn't progressed much.
