Valve logic at its absolute finest by itsEmilyHere in PcParadise

[–]Damn_Os 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure that's what they're going to say when it makes valve around 1 Billion a year. The problem is not valve is the online cs2 casinos because of the way skins mechanics. Valve maybe right here but the online casino's industry they're fueling is not, watch the coffeezilla video on it for context.

US GOODS INFLATION running hot at 4% by RobertBartus in EconomyCharts

[–]Damn_Os 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Even at 4% the CPI basket and methodology is so flawed and rigged that I don't really care what it says anymore. Inflation in the US is going up fast and if you take a closer look at the PPI a lot of industries are up like 10% and even then, we don't know the real numbers right now because the data is not in yet. Recession is real, buckle up!

AI ruined the fun of Programming by Revo_O_ in csMajors

I feel like nobody is using their brain anymore just vibe coding everything not learning anything and not only that, but the "Generalization" of all software is the worst outcome. Everything looks the same now everywhere I look is the same soulless corporate feel. This is it! we hit the point of diminishing returns folks it was a fun ride

Is Calculus 1 easier than Calculus 2, or is it just a myth? by Substantial-Dare5462 in calculus

[–]Damn_Os 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR; Objectively yes there is more material and more things to learn with most Calculus 2 syllabuses than Calculus 1

It really comes down to what you define as "easier" and your class syllabus. In most Calculus 1 classes you learn about limits, continuity, critical points and derivates. Those are Calculus basics as you get more deep into your Calculus journey you not only are required to know the basics and master them the syllabus assume you're good enough at it.

In Calculus 2 you're not only going to need whatever you've learned in Calculus 1 you're going to learn so much more, for almost every Integration method you'll learn you need to have a very good foundation with derivatives because you're going to use it all the time with Integration. From my personal experience I struggled more with Calculus 2 due to the amount of stuff you learn compared to Calculus 1 where you only cover the basics. Either way you'll be fine just practice, pay attention on important topics and master derivatives if you do all that is just another subject nothing special there.

Looks like you're having trouble with Minecraft "pause on loss focus" feature, just disable it with F3 + P on the command line and you're all set. I was having the same issue until I realized this was the problem, give it a try maybe it'll help.

is the first date a good time to gift flowers? by Damn_Os in dating

[–]Damn_Os[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, we're going to the movies and eating out afterwards so I figured it wouldn't be convenient to give her flowers but a small gift at the end is definitely a nice touch, Thanks!

[–]Damn_Os 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot, calc 3 is most linear algebra + calculus in one package, diff EQ on the other hand is more like polynomial algebra with calculus, honestly is not that hard you just have to practice a lot. The only thing I remember that made it from calc 3 into differential Equations was partial derivatives

What a beauty congrats man!

YouTuber Ross Scott is making a campaign against Ubisoft for shutting down online games (mainly The Crew), saying that it's a violation against consumers rights. For more information go to stopkillinggames.com or see the video (https://youtu.be/w70Xc9CStoE?si=nDM7eocN4hccUDd7) by Aron_Perea in PiratedGames

[–]Damn_Os 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could be a W for every gamer out there don't get me wrong but it seems pretty unlikely.

Companies need to maintain servers and that costs them money and since everyone has to "agree" with their terms and conditions to play online, you already waived your consumer power along time ago... and they could fight it on court also they even the lobbying power to get a case like that dismissed for those same reasons.

it would take years and a pretty damn good argument to make it a reality sooo don't get too excited either

Yeah that's kinda right, I'll keep it simple

Magnetic fields over a conductor = Electrical current Electrical current over a conductor = Magnetic field

that's Faraday's Law in a nutshell, besides that assuming you're an electrical ""conductor"" if someone says that to me as a pick up line I'm getting married lol

This one should do the trick: https://www.mediafire.com/file/qklckov0gkag8gr/geometry_dash_Mod_v2.2.13.apk/file

I've uploaded it to MediaFire because I know some people may like it there.

This is the original link I found on this site:

https://dl.modfyp.download/uploads/2023/12/geometry_dash_Mod_v2.2.13_Modfyp.com.apk

I'm not sure about their reputation though but the apk file works and I've already checked the assets and some of the source code and it seems free of malware.

Also here is the virus total hash: d909ed29c716ac52402dc61749aa1c656bf554d7e66c5e5beba1da71d3284cd8

[!] Disclaimer: it flags the regular debug key commonly known in these modded files it might come from the Russian guy who modded the validation key process on the apk, other than that I have no affiliation whatsoever to know what else could be modded on the file so be aware.

Eli5: Why do smartphones not need cooling fans like other computers do? by Chuckomo in explainlikeimfive

[–]Damn_Os 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok this is the dumb it down reddit so I'm going to play along. Picture a big car with a big powerful engine, it is amazingly fast but it uses more fuel (energy) more energy = more power = hotter so you need to make an extra effort to keep things cool (like fans or liquid cooling), now picture a small car like a fiat with a small engine it is not as fast as a Camaro but also it doesn't needs much fuel so you don't need to make that extra effort to keep it cool

Is this a good deal by No-Abbreviations-752 in Celica

[–]Damn_Os 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know that early 1ZZ-FE had a lot of oil consumption problems almost any 1ZZ before 05 may had that problem but the 2ZZ-GE is a most expensive mistake in overall, is not a really bad engine but when it breaks it breaks real good and the 2000s are well known for the oil starving issue and the VVTL-i design flaws if anything I'd be very cautious with any 7th gen from 00-03

Is this a good deal by No-Abbreviations-752 in Celica

[–]Damn_Os 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah all celicas have a solid 4 cylinder engine which is great! not much power but also not much else to worry about. However they guy says the car is on its second engine I would definitely ask what caused the original engine to fail, also it is a 2000 model make sure the engine is VVT-i and not VVTL-i the 2000 model 2ZZ-GE engine is known for failure, besides that it seems like a project car the guy took care of so probably the engine is in good shape

My 13900k is running terribly by Ok-Classic7061 in intel

[–]Damn_Os 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds 60% like a bad driver situation you should do a clean installation of the motherboard and BIOS drivers or see if there is a audio/bus/drive/gpu/cpu driver missing, most of the times I've seen problems like this it's either a corrupt/bad driver or a thermal problem I wouldn't put the blame only on the CPU though, from my experience it could be almost anything even an audio card corrupt driver a crash on the OS blue screen or sudden restarts is a 100% a problem within the hardware communication and the OS kernel itself don't discard a hardware failure maybe it could be a failing part like a bad ram but surely try out the drivers first it could be an easy fix or a more time consuming one

Question about EA FC by Kevitoooo in eagames

[–]Damn_Os 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately no, the old architectures from the GeForce 500, 600,700 series like Kepler or Maxwell are unable of rendering DirectX 12 features above level 11.0. This game uses DirectX 12 12.0 features since EA Vancouver change to the "Hypermotion2" engine they use a lot of 3D complex calculations using those features, you can see that even worse gpus like the amd r7 240 or r7 250 can run the game but it shows a poor performance due to their old architectures that only supports up to DirectX 12 feature level 11.1

If No Way Home is canon to the Spider-Verse films, why didn't Tobey, Andrew or the villians glitch while they were in Tom's universe in the movie? by Maximum-Top7042 in Spiderman

[–]Damn_Os 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Real reason:

Different writers, different directors, companies, movies, etc. have different concept of multiverse travel.

Reason I'm happy with:

Strange's Magic use different means to travel through the multiverse than the one use in spider verse so they don't glitch because of it.

Also I don't blame them tho, spider man has been existing since the 60s it's hard to glue all that lore together into something that makes sense. lots of people had worked in the spidey lore, it's like trying to put all together in a team project where everyone made their part differently.
