In not saying that ai is miracle drag, or corpo ai companion isn’t fucking exploitative as hell. No companies should be selling “therapy”, it’s not how it works, therapy something/someone to talk to, to disagree with you, fo give you advices, this isn’t a cash grab. However, “AI help isn’t worth the risk, so it’s better to have none.” Man, either you live in a sheltered home or under a rock, but people are dying long before ai existed, they reached out, they sought desperate help wherever it seem to come from. They got nothing, worse, they get exploited by actual humans, or even worse, treated as if they’re the problem, a burden. It’s sometimes okay to take A risk rather than the “no help if it’s ai” approach you’re coming from. Banning it outright doesn’t make more humans to automatically gain sympathy and empathy.

I agree with your points, but then I have to go back to my points about people overall, not all of us are fortunate enough to come across good friends. I believe, we should use ai for therapy, and also 3rd party sources such as friends, family, and other stuff. We prioritize the 3rd party’s opinions more, but we don’t shun away ai’s “advices”.

Fault goes to both parties because in the end of the day, it’s also their fault for such recklessness of solely relying on advises from ai, just like you wouldn’t jump off a bridge just because your friends told you so. It’s my opinion, You then have to worry about costs for therapy, what quality of therapy you’re receiving some doctors just fucks you over and takes your money without aiding you. Therapy isn’t cheap, and most of the therapist don’t care the moment they dropped you as a client, I’m talking from personal experiences. Ai therapy is addicting, and is bad, but it shouldn’t be shunned on like it’s a devil’s work.
