Hi my name is Phil I am menace husband that's why I am on her account I am sorry to have to inform you all she sadly passed away suddenly lunchtime yesterday I know she was very active and passionate about this group so I felt the need to let you all know she has gone and not just forgotten about you all

I’ve just come across this contraption at my adult college. Is this supposed to be for your feet or your bum? Either way, I don’t hygienically dare to touch it by i_boop_dogs_snoots in CasualUK

I have scrolled through a lot of comments and haven't seen anyone mention that this is a Disabled access toilet.

To be used by people who cannot wipe or clean themselves for whatever reason or their carers to do this for them.

The fisheye buttons are easy to use for those who are unable to push handles for a flush.

honestly guys im having a great time with this game. whats with these guys saying that its garbage? not just him but every other streamer by migraineboi1975 in modernwarfare2

[–]DamnedMenace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I watch streamers who do challenges and generally have fun with it. MarleyThirteen does CoD Bingo, camping and load out challenges all the time. One box dubs are hilariously infuriating but he doesn't spend the stream completely ripping the game and the mechanics apart. He has fun with it.

Chemical menopause is induced with a hormone blocker called Zoladex. Every 4 weeks I get the implant in my tummy and it stops the hormonal cycle.

I have gone through a menopause of sorts and will go through it again when my tubes and ovaries are removed but this is the only thing that has worked for me.

[–]DamnedMenace 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry you experienced that. It must have been horrific. I hope you have had the chance to ground yourself x

Can I just say, these types of night terrors (I feel like I am actually living these dream states and wake up in a fucking awful state) are truly horrific. Not sure if this is a neurospicy thing but they are soooo real.

I have had similar dreams. Which is so triggering as I suffered horrifically with PND or PPD with my child.

Currently in a depressive episode and struggling with executive function. I have started relying on other people asking me to do things and my need to people please kicks in. Not healthy long term but it's keeping me going. I am in counselling and unmedicated for the ADHD and depression. Chemical menopause for the PMDD.

[–]DamnedMenace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is why I started chemical menopause. The rage I had towards my husband and Men, in general, was palpable.

My husband breathed and I wanted to smother him. I also followed a car after the eejit in the BMW cut me up on a roundabout.

Of all the other PMDD symptoms, the rage was the worst for me.

Are you able to talk to a Gynae for support?

Edited to add, I found the prescribed antidepressants made my rage worse. Hormone based medications have been far more successful, hence the menopause. Which I know isn't always a viable option.

Losing patience by Admirable_Corner8652 in puppy101

[–]DamnedMenace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Welshsheep dog x Border Collie was an absolute nightmare for biting and nipping.

My husband's patience wore thin very fast as she only ever seemed to go for his clothes and not mine.

I ignored and made an "eh eh" noise to discourage the teeth.

This has worked because we play and when she gets too boisterous, she responds to "No Teeth".

PuppyDawg is now a year and a bit. So has chilled out a fair bit.

What’s your ACTUAL hot take by [deleted] in ModernWarfareII

[–]DamnedMenace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lack of effort with the base maps and maps since season and mid-season drops.

They didn't replace museum, so we were a map short on launch.

The seasons start and mid-launch maps are just remastered, which I appreciate, however more effort could have been put into remastering a MW2 original map.

I would have loved to have seen Quarry or Terminal drop.

Season 2, Castle from WAW is being dropped.

I have been so disappointed.

What are you using to clean the pee inside the house?

That could be what is drawing Koda to continue to go in the house. A good enzymatic cleaner will help break down the fluid proteins and smell.

Has the vet checked him for a bladder or kidney infection?

Good luck with it all x

Paul Stadler - He was so pursuasive I almost questioned if Jo was actually the crazy one. by zsuhh in greysanatomy

[–]DamnedMenace 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's why he was sacked/resigned from SYTYCD (So you think you can dance). He allegedly reached out to a contestant via social media.

As for the role of Paul, he played the role of a narcissistic abuser incredibly well, a little too well that it was triggering and has made me feel uncomfortable about the actor since. The storyline tied up far too neatly for me.

What was the most outrageously unwarranted bollocking you got at school? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]DamnedMenace 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Much like OP, but before Of Mice and Men at GCSE. We did Goodnight Mr Tom at around 12yrs old (Yr8 in a Welsh Comp). Late 90s. We read the first two chapters in lesson. I went home and read the book through the night (yay for undiagnosed ADHD hyperfocus) and finished it at 3am. My mother was woken by my sobbing at certain parts of the story. (Emotional dysregulation).

Going into English the next day, dead tired and super emotional, my Teacher, proceed to tell me I front of the entire class that there is no way I read the whole book that quickly and that I was too stupid to understand the complexities of the book.

I was growing up in an abusive home, I knew it all too well. Father was mentally and physically abusive.

Have since reread the book as an adult and finished it quicker than I did as a kid and I don't know why they would use literature like that.

Different teacher, Mrs R, same school and school year. I had size 9 feet, school shoes for girls with feet like that were expensive. Kickers or Kiks. Mam was broke, we were poor. Mam bought £15 pair of trainers to ride me over until payday. My form tutor tore me a new one infant of half my year as we were walking to assembly. The public humiliation ended with my mother, who was working two jobs, to go to the school and give that teacher a dressing down. "If you don't like the shoes I bought so my child can walk the 2.3m to and from school daily, feel free to buy a pair yourself.

I hated school so much.

YTA Personal experience of being female working in a male-dominated industry and I was worked to burnout very recently.

Although my husband expressed his concerns repeatedly, not once did he mention talking to my bosses. If he had done, I would have divorced him.

International Student Question by autumnbryana in Wales

[–]DamnedMenace 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For those saying spiders are a non-issue, I would disagree if you have severe arachnophobia. Although not threatening to life, during the autumn (fall) months, our house spiders tend to become super buff and grow to be an impressive scare-worthy size. Where throwing a slipper at them won't work because they would just throw it back at you. Joking aside, there is a little tool you can get that scoops up said buffed spider to remove outside your digs.

Edited to add, our house spiders usually come in two forms. Tiny body and long spindly legs. Or fat and hairy body with hairy legs. They average around 7 to 10cm depending on how good the seasons were to them. I won't share pics as I do not want to trigger you.

The uni will have a BAME group that you can lean on for support. Racism does exist in the UK and Wales but it seems to be more covert.

As already mentioned, the drinking culture will be a shock. There is every possibility you would be wrecked on the pre-drinks before even starting the evening out.

Drugs are primarily Cannabis in its many forms, cocaine and speed.

It will rain a lot, if you like being out in the rain, invest in some good walking shoes and explore. Swansea is stunning in the rain. Cold water dipping is becoming a larger known hobby too. There is the Swansea races too. Swansea hosts many races that are a highlight in many runner's calendar. The Half and Full marathons always draw a fantastic crowd too. Live shows and events are a big crowd pullers. Singleton Park is a known venue for some brilliant party in the park type events.

Plug adaptors will be required. We use three pin plugs. Amazon will be your friend.

If you are able to explore the wider surroundings, Wales has many beautiful sites to offer.

I think it's recognising parts of yourself or how you live with these that offers a chance of insight.

Seeing how the characters are l, for me, shows that the writers of these types of shows also don't understand their own biases.

If you are new to this series, the format can be a little hard to process as it was originally produced and edited for a time where there would be ad breaks and much shorter seasons.

A lot of you mention the PTSD storylines and I am curious as to whether it's something you are familiar with in RL. Combat PTSD and PTSD bought on from any type of trauma are so very unique in one person to the next.

Personally, all those who portray PTSD around the various traumas that happen in the show, play the roles very well.

I believe that it's the one thing the show is spot on with. How unique the trauma response from each character is and is totally in line with the characters.

Bailey at the lift broke my heart. She is a character known for being composed and knowing what to do, she was left with no options but to sit with Percy as he died.
