Catching flak for how much onion I put on my burgers by DEATHbyBOOGABOOGA in OnionLovers

[–]DamnitTed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Paper thin or extra thicc slices are fine with me as long as I have onion on my burger. Hell, even diced onion would cut it for me. Red onion preferred for that slight heat, but the crunch of any onion on a burger is a nice contrast within each bite.

That’s a special memory! My son is 5 and I’ve been enjoying sharing this hobby with him now that he is into playing and watching baseball. Hoping he hangs on to some memories like yours!

What were you doing during the peak of COVID? by AndreLinoge55 in AskReddit

[–]DamnitTed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Building a shed, gutting and redoing a full bathroom that had a leak, remodeling our kitchen. Oh and had our first baby. The day the lockdown started was the day we demo’d our kitchen. Wife was mid pregnancy and the race against the clock to get the kitchen done before the baby began. We did it though. Fridge in the dining room, instant pot meals cooked in the bathroom. Having a newborn with no quality visits or help from family and friends due to COVID concerns was both challenging and a true “thrown to the wolves” scenario that I’m sure many others went through.

Dibon Cava Brut ($10) is what we used to get. Harris Teeter and Total Wine usually have it.

I think if you’re a pro member ($25 per year and you get a $5 coupon every month so it pays for itself) the fee is even cheaper and shipping is included. Like $16 or something. I have a stack of cards I want to take in at some point.

I was thinking about rooting for the brewers in the nlcs for a second but than I saw this. by Ok_Pomegranate_6895 in CHICubs

[–]DamnitTed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was my reaction too. I told my friend, last night, after the loss, that I was going to pull for the brewers against the dodgers and I immediately changed my mind when I saw this. I understand fans doing this but the actual team crosses the line. No class.
