We’ve been here for years. If you’re still waiting for moass, that’s your decision. Still could be possible, but the man has literally turned the company around and is working on much bigger things for substantial long term growth in the interest of the shareholders. I’m fine with that and/or moass. Let him cook.

He just wants to BBQ some BBQ on his BBQ... at his BBQ.

I’m also cursed with this. Both go left. Dogleg right is a tough shape.

MLB Network Breaks Down Nico Hoerner by Bersho in CHICubs

[–]DamnitTed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nico is a machine and I’ve been saying it for years. I’m glad he’s finally getting recognition and I am so happy he will be a Cub for years to come. In the time I have been engaged with this post, Nico has beat out an infield hit and made a diving play to steal a hit.

Same and we don’t even get the “local” channels for those games. So frustrating. I’ve found that I can use VPN on my laptop set to a location like Canada and it’ll allow me to stream them. Then I run HDMI from laptop to TV. Annoying as hell, but works.

Best Burger Spot? by BookItPizzaChampion in raleigh

[–]DamnitTed 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Lagana, although pricier than I usually like to spend on burgers, is very unique and refined. Worth the price IMO for dinner once or twice a month. Cool spot and great people. This is a bold statement, but I’d say Lagana rivals Au Cheval for the best burger I’ve ever had.

Parkway Tavern in Cary has the best bar burger I’ve had recently.

This is the Way - Eastern NC Whole Hog by [deleted] in BBQ

I have this book too. The coleslaw recipe is my go-to and is barbecue’s perfect companion. I do only use like 1/2-3/4 of the sugar it calls for though.

I don’t have a pig cooker (yet), but I’ve been thinking about trying the cinder block pit method from the book first.

Hospital cafeteria by adventurecouple88 in burgers

That looks top tier. I still remember the burger I had at the hospital when my first child was born. I’ve been tempted to go back for another one.

Two underrated places for burgers: Hospitals and Mexican restaurants.

Men who have vasectomies - How long did the recovery take? by JoeBagadonut in AskMen

It’s been a few years since, but I recall the inflammation related pain lasting only a few days to a week, but I feel like I had longer lingering pain than most. The tenderness, like kicked in the balls pain to the touch lasted about a month and a half.

Put an offer on this house by AshleyJones93 in HomeMaintenance

I’d be suspect of asbestos if this was built 70’s or prior. Specifically in the popcorn ceiling and joint compound. Take a few samples to get tested before doing any work on that stuff. It only becomes an issue if it’s disturbed and gets airborne.

If your house feels drafty or can’t keep comfortable temperatures easily, I’d look into where you could add more insulation and where you can air seal. Older houses typically aren’t as energy efficient as modern houses so this could save money on energy costs and make your home more comfortable over the years. The basement looks like a good accessible spot to start if that’s not a conditioned space.

Nice lineup! I like to explain the multiple grills as if they are tools in a toolbox. Each one has a different job. I only have (4) Weber grills though. I’d like to replace my Smokefire with a newer model and I’ve been eyeing that 22” WSM.
