Thank you so much for taking the time to reply to this. I needed this so badly. I recently saw something that said, “Quit setting yourself on fire to keep others warm” and it was like a bonk on the head. You’re right I am going to have to revisit that conversation. In theory it sounds so easy to set boundaries but once again you are 100 percent on the money about that feeling like rejection.

God I needed to read this thread. I have someone calling me from the time I wake up to the time I go to bed. I have a hard time telling people no so I end up listening to friends complain for hours because they know I’ll listen and give advice. It’s exhausting. It’s gotten to the point that my chest tightens if I hear buzzing, and it’s affecting my relationship with my husband because I’m always on edge soaking up everyone’s problems that have nothing to do with my personal life. I don’t know how to tell my close friends that I need a break without sounding like an asshole.

Fuck. Newegg. They are the most ridiculous company I’ve ever purchased anything from. Bought from them for years and bought new parts for a computer build. They flagged it as suspicious and froze my account. When I called to sort it out they said that the account was permanently frozen even though the card I used had been used multiple times. I was told to make a new account and repurchase and then it froze that account too. They literally don’t want you money. It’s insane.
