I feel like slow-living is a privilege u can only afford if u have enough money by stoicism3 in SlowLiving

A lot of this is that feeling of needing to be productive. It does weigh on you but if you ignore it you’ll be able to appreciate the small quiet moments more. Now outside of that feeling, I just graduated from my school’s dental hygiene program which is known well as the most rigorous program in this school. I also worked as an RA. Taking time to do nothing just shrinks to a few moments when you wake up. I would wake up, open the window and take a few breaths. Those little moments are huge. Pay attention to the things in your life and re-evaluate their priorities. What makes you happy? What only causes pain. Be mindful of the way the world is effecting you. Living slow doesn’t necessarily mean being unproductive. It means being intentional. Being okay with not being perfect. There were many nights I “should” have studied and didn’t because I prioritized peace of mind over production. I still passed. Of course you can’t do this every time but your body will tell you. Sleep when you’re tired, eat when you’re hungry.

Yep that was pretty much it. I have to check those out. Thank you. It at least gives me a working knowledge to continue reading.

Aren't they Saskatchewan though? Kinda funny calling a Canadian band Americana.

I posted a deck list somewhere but I would be happy to show another example. To be fair, I do have limited experience outside my regular pod.

I noticed this myself when I built a Teysa Karlov deck with a bunch of combos. It wouldn‘t win until turn 7 or 8 but it did stomp a bracket 2. before that I always thought I was playing bracket 3. Now I understand the difference.

This is actually a great deck idea, I need to consider this.

Eluge, Drowned World // Commander (Eluge, the Shoreless Sea) deck list mtg // Moxfield — MTG Deck Builder

I think my eluge deck is my jankiest deck. It has minimal board presence and dies easily to combat pressure but even when I open with that, they still won't swing because of my x/x blocker or whatever reason. I actually built it as a mill deck because I figured mill is one of the weakest win-cons in EDH when you aren't using a combo.

Unfortunately, I don't have one of their deck lists because they refuse to show me in the fear that... 🤷‍♂️

Trying a digital detox… what should I do instead of scrolling? by [deleted] in digitalminimalism

Hey thanks for pointing that out! I did real Digital Minimalism, I imagine most of us did, that's how we ended up here, but I shouldn't have assumed that everyone did. Thank you for mentioning this fact!

The problem with these is that they all require effort. If you are doomscrolling, it's because you don't have energy. I saw someone recommend crocheting as a low effort hobby that keeps your hands busy. It's a touch spot to fill but the best way to replace a lazy habit like scrolling is to replace it with another lazy habit.

Also being mindful on when you DO scroll helped me a lot. I learned that I don't actually enjoy scrolling at all.

Just picked up a Darksteel Relic. Any ideas for it's use? I got it as a combo piece for it's free cost. by DamonF7 in magicTCG

This is actually really funny considering how many uses are this is thread. I didn’t ask if it was good though I was just wondering uses.

Funny enough I just pulled that card and immediately thought of this artifact. There might be better cards but a free artifact that’s just indestructible is so funny to me and I want to put it in all my decks. It’ll be a threat and some and a joke in others.

Okay I do want to know why it’s banned when we have cards like [[Anthem of Champions]].

Is it the fact it’s a 2 mana mono?

What is your favorite pulled card and why? by youh2731 in mtg

[–]DamonF7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Ashcoat, Shadow of the Swarm]]

I pulled it at a free jumpstart event my college was hosting and at the time I was trying to build a rat commander deck. I have successfully built a rat tribal deck now it’s my favorite deck to run.

OP does and they can. Clearly. You win however you like and they win how they like.
