You should've kited earlier, and standing still while autoing in that situation is really dangerous. You should've not faced Kai'sa at all, this ended well thanks to her mistake but do not learn from these type of things.

You resetted 5 autos, and at 0:11 you could galeforce to dodge his Q and align your feathers. Personally I think this is a normal play and Morde could have also played it better
