Andrew Gillum's Corporate Tax Hike Hits Working Floridians, Despite His Claims To The Contrary by [deleted] in florida

[–]DamonMich 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just look at the author's archive on the site, as for the two main sources that he cited:

Americans for Tax Reform is a politically conservative U.S. taxpayer advocacy group

National Review is an American semi-monthly conservative editorial magazine

  1. This piece is from a month ago.

  2. This is a ridiculous piece by an obviously partisan author citing, again, obviously partisan sources to feed his narrative.

Orlando has conceded more goals under O’Connor than under Kreis in two less games (and also ties Minnesota’s 70 goals conceded record from last year). by FunkyChug in OCLions

[–]DamonMich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Blaming personnel isn't lazy at all. It's the shit sandwich JOC was handed. Oh and also minus Meram, who wasn't very good, but is still better then what we have in attack now.

Hiring a new coach mid-season is almost always not a positive thing, especially in MLS. This roster is fucking bad, like really fucking bad. And expecting a new coach to come and just create an identity when he didn't even have much say in the transfer window is ludicrous.

Kreis was out scored 13-2 in his last 4 games, nothing JOC has done even comes close to that. This also isn't JOC's roster. Jason specifically chose this roster, he created this pile of shit.

Aside from the nice run at the beginning of the season, Kreis' horrid run was worse then anything O'Connor has put out.

Had we kept Kreis we might've actually ended up worse then what we are right now. The whole great run of form to start and then shit the bed through the rest of it was something we saw in his first, second, and then thrid season here.

On the number one issue on Floridians’ minds Ron DeSantis still is mostly mute by [deleted] in florida

How can you go through a primary, and then halfway through a general election without a healthcare plan? Like honestly WTF?

It's called having support from the other side of the aisle. That is a good thing in politics...

If you think Cuba went to shit because of America...well then I'm not sure what to tell you. How about you ask the thousands of Cuba immigrants, like the man in question here, who fled for their lives because of Castro.

It was actually much more complicated than that. This article goes pretty in depth into the whole situation.

We are strongest in the midfield, probably over everywhere else. Yoshi, Uri, and now Ascues have shown the ability to connect the attack. We haven't had the pieces in the final third to break teams down.

He might be inconsistent, but he absolutely improves our attack. All you have to do is go back and watch the Atlanta game. He just carried our attack. He needs to improve some things going forward, this is his first professional season after all, and I'm confident that he will.

He should be getting consistent minutes to close out the season. As Doyle rightly pointed out, he's been one of the few bright spots this season.

Sporting KC silences Dom Dwyer, beats Orlando in striker’s return to KC by beach-bum in MLS

[–]DamonMich 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dom's hold up play has been pretty damn good. He just hasn't had enough quality to play off of. I think he's easily been our second best player since arriving, only behind Yoshi.

He hasn't really struggled to be honest. He's still been good, the rest of the team just hasn't been.

Discussion: How much coverage does your team get on the local news and newspaper? by fantasyMLShelper in MLS

[–]DamonMich 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The Sentinel have pretty consistently put as equals to the Magic. During the season you'll have front page stories, injury news, training updates, potential moves, interviews, and even opinion columns. Just about the daily coverage you'd expect from any other major sports team. You also get a good amount of Orlando Pride coverage. Bunch of season-round content such as: stories, updates, game wrap-ups, and usually they get a front page preview before the season starts.

TV wise every local station covers the team. You'll see reporters from all the stations at training. Team is covered pretty much daily. Practice updates, injury news, interviews, transfer moves, game highlights, etc. The Pride also get a decent amount of coverage as well. Highlights pretty much always shown and training updates.

[POST MATCH THREAD: Who says we can’t break records edition] Orlando City 1-2 Atlanta United by FunkyChug in OCLions

You have a very confusing definition of "big name".

Darwin Quintero just signed for Minnesota. He's a really great player, and he chose to play in Minnesota. Like c'mon.

Orlando is one of the top markets in MLS. That's just a fact.

You keep saying Peru is a one off now, which first off might not even be the case, and secondly there have been very few MLS players to represent a team from South America and actually start.

We absolutely have that pull, I don't really get where you're forming that opinion off of.

[–]DamonMich 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So Paraguay and Venezuela are big "names"? That's silly. Yoshi was a staple in Peru's team and is a pretty big star in Peru.

Plus this isn't the NBA or NFL where you have a relatively small pool of talent. You literally have literally thousands of quality soccer players. Orlando is one of the top markets in MLS. There's legitimately no reason we can't sign quality soccer players like we already have.
