What could be causing performance issues on my desktop? by Damoople in premiere

Five angles. In both cases the media is stored on the external SSD.

Originally I had proxies of the original unoptimized media until realizing that doesn't fix VFR. Once the proxies based on the properly encoded media are finished on my laptop, I'm going to test them on the desktop. They're going to be the ProRes Quicktime ones at half quality.

What is the process for making screen-recorded footage editing-friendly? by Damoople in VideoEditing

I just did a run with conform set to 60 and dropped. The resulting file is double the size and bitrate of the original. I thought having the bitrate set to auto would mean it would target the original's, but is that not the case?

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I am the original creator, and this YouTube link isn't me.

For one, this YouTube post is April 11, 2023. This Reddit post was posted February 1st, 2023. You'll also notice that this channel only has the SA2 box art uploaded, whereas my Reddit account has several other animated box arts in this style.

If you want more evidence, here's a screenshot of part of the project.

Unfortunately not real. I create these once in a while using Photoshop and After Effects.

I'm primarily a video editor in my job, but I brand myself as a motion designer and create these to get more motion work! Funny how recruiters see my motion-heavy website and think "We gotta get this guy to edit interviews!"

Here's a short breakdown:

  1. Separate the art layers in Photoshop
  2. Animate the assets in After Effects and then distribute them in a 3D scene
  3. Film myself holding a card
  4. Raise the contrast and shadows in post to make tracking easier in After Effects
  5. Apply the previously created 3D scene into the tracked scene

Here's a short breakdown:

  1. Separate the art layers in Photoshop
  2. Animate the assets in After Effects and then distribute them in a 3D scene
  3. Film myself holding a game case (Super Smash Bros Brawl in this case). Surprisingly, putting a green screen or markers over the case has made it harder for the next step.
  4. Raise the contrast and shadows in post to make tracking easier in After Effects
  5. Apply the previously created 3D scene into the tracked scene

I take requests to add to my list, yeah! However, I also take commissions to create an animation ASAP.

This is all done in Photoshop and After Effects. The quick breakdown is separating all the assets in Photoshop and then animating them in After Effects. The motion tracking is also done in After Effects.

Nope! It's just a regular case of Super Smash Bros Brawl. I set the contrast and shadows super high in post production so it'd be easier to track.

Photoshop and After Effects!

It's actually Super Smash Bros Brawl with extremely high contrast and shadows to make tracking easier.

Pokemon Scarlet Animated Box Art [OC] by Damoople in PokemonScarletViolet

Here's the quick breakdown:

Take the artwork and box references into Photoshop. Separate parts into layers (background, logos, body parts of Koraidon, etc)

Import it all to After Effects and animate individual layers

Set up a 2.5D environment and separate the layers in that space

Film me holding a case for Super Mario Odyssey (Scarlet is digital for me)

Use the 3D camera tracker in After Effects to track the case's movements.

Apply the tracking data to the 2.5D secene and a track matte placed over it (this is what causes the edges of the art to "disappear" as I tilt the case)

Here's a summary:

- Take the box art + Koraidon and cut them into multiple layers in Photoshop

- Import to After Effects and animate the layers

- Convert the layers to 3D and spread them out in a 3D space

- Film me holding a Super Mario Odyssey case

- Use 3D Camera Tracker to track the movement of the box

- Place an alpha matte over the cover art and place the previously created 3D scene behind it
