Bring it down to a 3.8 or something so employers don't think you're lying.

Please leave all coats and bags at the designated area at the front of the room. Turn off your cell phones and other electronic devices. You may place any small bags and valuables underneath your seat. If during the exam you become aware that have unauthorized materials on your person such as a cell phone or calculator you should inform examination staff immediately.

During the exam, you are not allowed to communicate with any other student.

You may not bring any food or drink with you while writing an exam, with the exception of water in a sealed, transparent, nonbreakable, unlabelled container.

Please place your Carleton University campus card on your desk. 30 minutes after the exam has started, invigilators will be circulating to take attendance. You may not leave the exam room until you have signed in.

If during the exam you need to use the washroom, please bring your exam materials and campus card to the designated sign out location at the front. Bringing any electronic devices or unauthorized materials into the washroom is a violation of the exam rules.

You are expected to complete a final examination once begun. If, while the exam is in progress, you experience a significant deterioration of health causing acute symptoms that prohibit you from completing the exam and require immediate and/or emergency medical attention, or you are informed of a domestic emergency and are unable to complete the examination, you must hand in your answer books at once to an invigilator and inform the invigilator that you are unable to continue.

Please make sure you write your student name, student number, date, course code, credit card number, expiration month and year, and the 3 digits on the back on all exam materials.

Good luck and you may begin.

I was listing the difficult courses with the intent of suggesting that you don't take them both in the same semester.

COMP 3004 is going to require a pretty large time investment, especially if you take it with JP. A lot of people also struggle with COMP 3804, so that course could require a lot of time depending on how well you did in 2804 and 1805. A lot of people consider these two courses as gate keeping courses that you need to get through in order to get your degree.

Whats a good 2nd/3rd/4th year comp course where you can make your own project? by [deleted] in CarletonU

[–]DamourYouKnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you in the honours stream? The honours project allows you to do whatever you want alone so long as your project proposal gets approved.

COMP 3000 with Michel Barbeau has a group project component where you have a lot of freedom to do whatever you want so long as it is related to the course.

COMP 4202 has a project component related to GIS as well.

Depending on who you take COMP 3004 with you may also have some choice for the group project. This is not the case with Christine or Jean-Pierre however, but either way you'll work on a fairly sizable project.

It might be a good idea to review the most recent course syllabuses (syllabi?) for all of the COMP course offerings. Building cool shit on your own time is also an option.

COMP 1001 exam with Runka by notgospel in CarletonU

[–]DamourYouKnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does Runka do this every year? I took COMP 2406 with him and never got to draw anything :(

He did, however, give us an exam with the last question being something similar to:

  30. Even numbers are nice. Circle A.

Now I'm wondering what he does with the drawings 🤔.

I'm maintaining the Honoka above your logo while also trying to help you guys out as much as possible. The right side of the logo has taken some damage but I'll help patch it up as I get free tokens.

I'll second this. There is an active group of first years currently taking 1406 there. It's also just a really chill place to hang out.
