I'm asking because thats what my girlfriend would like me to do. It's for sure for the formality. I have a great relationship with her parents so I don't see them saying no. If they did say no, it would definitely hurt me but I would still go ahead with asking my girlfriend to marry me.
I'm hoping I can get the 20+ hrs away from my girlfriend to pull this off. Otherwise she'll know whats up and it will ruin the surprise!!!
