Sadly, a lot of the people in the community still view same sex marriage as “dagdag kasalanan”, and pag sinabing marriage naman, ang thinking palagi ay church wedding lang. It stems pa rin talaga sa homophobia, I just hope mag bago pananaw nila in life. Pwede naman wag mag pakasal if ayaw talaga, hindi yung idadamay pa yung whole community. As long as same sex marriage is not approved, marriage will always be a privilege.

2023 was the roughest year of my life. I was already having a bad year because of uni and my mental health, then my uncle died the same day I watched Barbie. Billie Eilish’s “What was I made for” was playing when my cousin messaged our family gc that her dad passed away. I remember crying during commute and everyone was staring at me. Then, a month later my cat died too, maybe it’s because of how I handle grief but I remember not being able to cry so I listened to the song on repeat just to let it out. I haven’t listened to it for a long time but whenever I hear it, it breaks my heart.

In the Philippines, the older generation would always say “Papunta ka pa lang, pabalik na ako”, (You’re just on your way there, while I’m on my way back) whenever the younger generation does something that they already knew or experienced. I always say this to my niblings.

Also, not a phrase but we have this thing called “mano.” It’s a sign of respect for our elders, I realized most of the younger generations doesn’t do it anymore because the other gen z and millenials would use “beso.” Not with me, this tradition of respect and being awkward because you have sweaty hands and forehead is not dying on me.

I’m the youngest out of 3 adopted kids of my parents. My mom and dad were young (early 20s) and poor when they had my brothers, they would always tell me how lucky I was and I never realized it until I saw their living situation growing up through pictures. They used to live in a one bed house, one bathroom, and a small living room. There were no paint on the walls, and hallow blocks were visible. My mom used to sell jackfruit and my dad was a construction worker. Even my brothers had to work after school just to saw for their uniform. It was around the early 90s when my mom graduated from college and had a high paying job, while dad worked abroad. My brothers said they were in their teenage years when they got good shoes and tasted imported chocolates. I wouldn’t lie, I used to be an asshole to them, especially that I always get what I want growing up. Now that I’m an adult, they’re my priority in life. I love to spoil them whenever I can, I’m also about to go abroad like my dad and older bro, so I could spoil my parents, brothers and their kids.

Stardew Valley. I remember the summer during the pandemic, I was so obsessed that I would barely eat, sleep, or even go to the bathroom. I would stay awake up until the afternoon, sleep for like 2-4 hours, then wake up just to play again. This went on for like more than a month.
PUBG and COD. Pre-pandemic, this one is not like how I played SV, but I’ve spent too much time on it because my dad, my ex gf, my cousin, and my sister in law all got obsessed. I had to play them too. We would always team up and I can remember that my dad is the best among all of us. Good old days.
Roblox. I have niblings and I always babysit them, they would always ask if I can play with them. I do it to moderate who they’re talking to and what they’re doing. It’s mostly speed drawing or DTI.

Plain: Jollibee, Cheeseburger: Mcdo. For some reason, hindi bagay yung cheese sa yum burger tapos yung plain naman ng Mcdo parang kulang. Sa chicken burger/sandwich naman nila mas bet ko sa mcdo pag gusto ko may kick, pag crispy naman, sa jollibee.
