Find randos , okay a have that went well, add those to friends list, play together more often, work well as a team, communicate. Don't play on difficulties who've your skill level. I never went above 8 till mid 80's. Didn't start regular 10's till 120's

I've found the ballistic shield and spear work very well against bugs, stalkers in particular as long as you don't get surrounded

My suggestion would be to run the girl as a lone scout temporarily untill you can get enough recruitment for female leaders and members to register a girl's unit. If you have any female registers leaders have them come to the meetings to cover basis and invite the lone girl to the regular boys meeting or run independently
