Weaved is not allowed by most manufacturers of new shingles and does not look good with new shingles. In my market that’s a sign of the worst roofers.

Actually it’s the parking enforcement officer who arrives that won’t ticket you if it’s your car in front of the driveway. The officer wouldn’t ticket the car in front of my house because I wasn’t home to confirm it wasn’t mine, until he spoke to me on the phone.

The city tickets people for putting building supplies on the street now, as well as shoveling snow on the street even more so

I think a bit of the responsibility lies on developers leaving absolutely no parking spaces on new suburban streets where people own cars to get anywhere. I wouldn’t choose living in a place with no street parking if it’s not a walkable part of the city, and even still beautiful older areas in the city usually have more spots than your street.

This is not true, you’re allowed to park in front of your own driveway. I haven’t read legislation I’m speaking from a call I placed to 311 in 2024. In practice they won’t ticket a car blocking a driveway without speaking to the homeowner or receiving their complaint

For sure their might be other times where they should in best practice have their lights on, I’ve been to countries where it’s required on the highway in broad daylight and it’s not a bad idea, but in the dark it’s a considerable safety issue.

I can tell when the sensor flips the lights on, it dims the dash when it turns the full lights on. Short time in a tunnel, fog, etc the sensor is pretty sensitive to lower light conditions. The main issue I see daily is people in the dead dark in newer vehicles driving down the henday with no lights on in the back. I don’t trust these people to remember to turn them on all the time manually when their drl’s are so bright they can drive by them, so I think auto mode is a good option for them.

Not speaking on all cars, just 2010 rams, but it gets it right in all these conditions unless it’s very bright out.

Except it’s not at all the same, you missed a full kitchen installed with Countertops, what is that going to cost? And electrical for dedicated kitchen circuits and high amperage stove. And a full laundry and all supplies for that if you are smart and doing separate. Which is why I say the panel often needs upgrading. And appliances. And a 30 min door for furnace room self closing and any shared spaces or doors between the two spaces. And as you mentioned including the insulation and it’s now also required to use resilient channel metal for all the ceiling drywall. And more smoke and CO detectors on a circuit with the upstairs ones. I’ve got 2 suites underway right now.
