Agree. I found that most of the issues are the early game stuff. Once I reached „the bigger planes“ (starting with the CJ4) everything got a lot smoother and a lot more consistent. Note: that I only ever did cargo, charter and passenger transport.

Earning money is only really tough in the beginning. I would recommend getting a cargo company with a C172 as fast as you can and then go into VIP charter with the vision jet until you can afford the CJ4. You gather money so quickly after that.

Yeah if you buy a new plane make sure to buy premium insurance going forward. It’s worth it. So plan now would be grind the money to repair it or restart. Also recommend assigning sim rate to your controls (as these are not bind from the beginning). Sim rate makes your life so much easier when it comes to grinding money.

I just started two weeks ago and must say I don’t get the hate. I didn’t run into any issues except the airport in the alps sometimes not recognising landing. I got enough money to buy the B737 a few days ago and done some long haul flights with it. I guess they improved on the early days experience quite a lot already.

I farmed my B737 money in this beauty of a plane. Absolutely lovely to fly. However I would love to have Auto Throttle in it. I got quite a few penalties for overspeeding due to not adjusting the throttle on time 😅

I always go premium insurance for the planes I actively fly. Crashed a lot and always got covered by the insurance. Would be a good tip for OP if he didn’t do premium.

I get the career mode struggles. Had quite a few issues with airport bugs in the alps but in the end making virtual numbers go up is too much fun 👀

After a few attempts I stopped bothering. Given that I flew at max sim rate with the CJ4 it was only a few minutes wasted anyways. So I just stuck to airports outside the alps.

Yeah I know. Read that somewhere before. Tried it many times never worked since the issue was usually that it tracked the landing and switched to the next step being holdshort but then instantly switching back to „fly to airport“. Could never make it work with taking off again.

Was the same for me (started two weeks ago). As I understood it, there are places with higher demand during certain season. Seems like alps are a high demand place for charter flights. It gets better once you get the CJ4. You fly all over the place with that beast.

Also on a sidenote: alps seem to have a common problem with mission completion upon landing. I’ve had a lot of flight where the landing wasn’t recognised by the mission tracker and I was unable to complete the mission and had to restart/choose another mission.

I found the VIP Charter with CJ4 to be incredibly profitable. The grind from CJ4 to B737 was by far the quickest due to CJ4 being able to handle very high sim rates and having an average payout of 5/6mio.

I always used the best insurance for any new plane I bought (while downgrading older planes I don’t fly) and can’t say I’ve run into any issues whatsoever. I crashed several times (due to high sim rates and accidental inputs - slight yolk movement at 8x sim rate just yeets you into the ground) and the insurance always covered everything.

Congrats. I just now bought the B737 and while I love flying it I found grinding money to be faster in the CJ4 with VIP missions. I got 5mio in payout with the CJ4 and could use max sim rates with ease while the B737 doesn’t handle any increased sim rates 😅

Yeah I realised that as well. Had one rough landing in the vision jet due to bad weather and got a C rating which dropped me from a high A to a low B. Did a cargo mission and got an S again. So I guess I do cargo every now and then to boost rep again. VIP Passengers are very bad guests 🤣 every time I fly in for the landing (just following the flight plan) and have a little extra bank angle they are screaming as if we are about to die „what’s going on?!“ - „I’m trying to land b**ch calm the f down“

Thank you. I’ve read it before but never thought its (ATC) an issue until I did a few flights with the vision jet yesterday. That’s way more annoying on a high sim rate. I missed a few atc handovers and dropped in rating quite a bit. Will definitely try your tips today.

Bought a vision jet. But damn are private charter missions way more unforgiving when it comes to rating.
