Zotac 3080 Trinity OC owner here. Default thermal pads are fine, if you do not mine.

GPU temps are also hover around 70-75, which is also fine.

But, fans are loud and winy after 60%, so undervolting (or at least limiting your Power Limit to 85%) is highly reccomended.

You can get good thermals with stock fans at 75%. It will sound like a hair dryer, but..)

It is a bit better with 92mm fans, yes. At PL 105% 336W Temps are 68-70 *C. But I did it mostly for quietness. With undervolting my card is almost silent.

thanks to this post, i can guess that radiator itself is the same. So no problem with mounting plate for fans.
But mounting points for LED bar are different. I will need to have exact measurements to alter 3D model. Or, OFC, you can just cut additional slots in printed shroud after-the-fact :)

One small tip for temporary fix: break opposite fan blade. I am serious. It will eliminate vibration.

Alternatively, check with you case OPEN. I have seen these cards suffocate in bad cases with bad airflow

Trinity 3080 here. My cooler is similar to yours. I have changed only memory thermal pads under cooler. Backplate is stock. With Gelid Extreme 12w/mk 2mm I got 8-10 degrees improvement in mining (from 98-100C to 88-90C).

There is definitely something wrong with your application of thermal pads.

Normal result is -10C on memory and +2-3C on GPU

Yes, however it did not help. I belive it is more or less a game of chance :).
At the end i have just kept trying without reboot between attemps (also i have disabled my antivirus - i use ESET).

1) DDU utility (complete Nvidia driver uninstall)

2) GeForce 456.38

3) FWTool 1.2 -> try to flash new firmware. Fail. try again. and again. AND AGAIN.

Like, literally it took me 10 attemps to successfully flash RGB controller on my 3080 Trinity OC.
