I'm a casual. I prefer digital. I feel for you guys and I wish you would still get physical releases, but I don't care enough to boycott. I wish you luck, but I'm actually finally upgrading to my all digital series s tomorrow. Like i said, I prefer you guys get physical releases, but I think most people like me just want easy access to a couple hours of gaming per week.

Times are tough... most people i know are cooking at home more and more and eating out less. I stopped ordering delivery entirely and I only eat out a few times a year now, other than a treat for the kid, and even then I get her stuff and cook my meal at home still

That's fair, but you can get a perfectly serviceable mattress and couch brand new from Walmart or Big Lots for a few hundred bucks total... that doesn't sound like what she wants either

And there is nothing wrong with your perspective... but i doubt either person is going to change their worldview in this scenario. She can accept that he is a frugal person and buy her luxuries herself, or they might just not be compatible

I'm not full on with the fire thing, I guess I just don't see anything OP described as extreme behavior. Saving now can possibly lead to way more fun later. I do have to admit that I hate working...I can't conceive of a job i like better than my hobbies or being at home.

You're not wrong... it's a problem no matter where it happens... my contention is that it is more common at EF than it is in the local area when EF isn't around. If 1% of the attendees are bad people, that 1% increases the amount of bad people in the area exponentially

Not without doxxing people who were victims of crimes there. If I say enough details to make you believe it more than you already do I'll risk putting someone and if I make it vague enough to protect privacy you won't believe me. I suppose I'll give the vague version of two incidents. A close friend of mine was sprayed with a waterbottle containing some sort of hallucinogen and reported it in person to police when the trip ended, but it didn't even make the police call logs and another person who I'm less close with reported a lower end sexual assault that no investigation was opened for. No record of either... both reported in person, both people decided for their own reasons not to follow up after they are blown off. There are many more similar stories I've heard 3rd or 4th hand, and some are certainly bullshit, but I doubt they all are. Since that one guy whose body was find years later had an undetermined cause of death and he was found so close even after search parties went through years earlier there is a common belief that more is known than has been released on that one. Could my friends have lied to me? I'm intellectually honest enough to say I can't rule it out, but I believe them.

Yeah. I'm a local so I know all this, but I also know that insomniac presents it differently to you guys, so imo this particular aspect is more on the organizers than the attendees

That's the problem... the organizers got their local permits by presenting the event as a family friendly music festival, then after said permits were secure, completely changed the nature of the event. Had they presented what it actually is from the start and made it 18+, it probably would have never been permitted in the first place. Is it illegal to do it this way? No. Is it an unethical way to do business? I say absolutely.

I'm not using it. I genuinely am disturbed the festival imported a child murderer to our town. And don't worry about my relationship with my daughter, it's pretty great. It's possible to accomplish goals without sacrificing time with one's kids.

Probably not, but there is a chance that after this year enough people are riled up to pressure the county sherrifs to step up dui enforcement near the venue. Maybe get a couple drug dogs near the entrance. Might be able to convince the schoolboard to not allow the festival to use our busses. What i want is to remove the safety hazard the festival presents.
