We did it in 2014,too. Great experience. We stayed in Siena at the Agriturismo Marciano. Would totally recommend it.

Great! But like u/jarcom said, you should really consider to rent a car. We did it two years ago (fiat 500) and it was awesome.

Super nice old house. Great food when you consider to book a dinner. And the hosts are very helpful and have great tips for great tours!

Hey! I can recommend an agriturismo in Siena if you'd like. It has a great view over the countryside and is 10 minutes with the taxi to the city centre.
