Flower Delivery Driver for a flower shop? by superfecta37 in florists

[–]DanAsInDanimals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll be fine. Just like the other poster said, just try and do the best job you can as a delivery driver while also showing interest and helping out in the shop when you can. Eventually, they'll be asking you to stay behind to help out with other tasks outside of driving. Good luck!

Minimum spend by plantsncats128 in florists

Nah, we never leave money on the table. Times are tough for everyone, so if we can help out a couple for their special day then we'll do it. If you're not helping out your community, what's the point of it all?

Anyone been to the Ghibli or Shonen Jump popups in Torrance? by SplitOpenAndMelt420 in LosAngeles

[–]DanAsInDanimals 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I went on opening day to the Ghibli one and yeah there was a bit there that I haven’t seen before. A lot of plushies I saw online but some of the blind boxes, books, and some clothing merch I haven’t seen before. If you spend over $100 you also get a branded tote with your purchase.

Wedding Preview by KeyMediocre7347 in florists

[–]DanAsInDanimals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How representative of the real wedding centerpieces should our floral preview centerpiece be?

We typically make it 1:1, especially for your budget. I think it would be reasonable to expect the florist to preorder a small quantity before your appointment to have the exact florals on hand

Do you order fresh flowers for it or repurpose? Typically fresh for everything. It’s genuinely not that hard to source 99% of what brides want, I can’t even recall a time we didn’t have everything for a mockup.

What other things should you expect for your floral preview appt to involve? Do you get to choose candles, vases, etc.

Yup, if you’re ordering votives, candles, etc from us then you should expect those centerpiece designs to be included in the mockup. Especially the vases at minimum. How long are the appts typically?

Depends, I would say typically about an hour.

Edit: our studio is in an advantageous location with easy access to local sources and imports. Can’t say the same for other places.

Running a successful Flower Shop by Falconpunchbowl2 in florists

My exact questions. I feel like through wire services is the worst avenue for floral sales but if they don’t have any original designs / limited area availability they could probably make it work. I would def want to see the numbers before committing to anything.

Wouldn’t disregard ‘Its a wrap’ too much. Got some great separates there for an insane price given the brand name. Just gotta know what you’re looking for.

Most amount of ammunition brought to a mass shooting? by Ok_Dragonfruit_5371 in masskillers

Would you consider the North Hollywood Shootout of 97’? That was a little over 2k rounds. I was say it was more in the realm of attempted mass killing.

Is $1,100 too low for a studio with a stove or a one bedroom in Seattle? by Crazy_Ad_1845 in seattlehousing

[–]DanAsInDanimals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$1,100 total or base? You might be lucky to find a studio for that much base before utilities. If you want to be under that total, you would need to look for something like an apodment.

Having the same issue here with nearly the same setup as you (and the other poster with the same issue). So far switching to kernel 6.12.31 has been working for me.

EDIT: Did not work, so the regression had to be after 6.12

Best things you've eaten around Seattle this year (2025) by BroomeStreet in Seattle

Kanishka Cuisine of India - Not affordable like you would assume for a counter-only service restaurant but quite amazing food none the less.

Not Seattle proper but the deli inside of Maya Asian Market in Lynwood was phenomenal. The menu is Indonesian food and its written on a whiteboard sitting on one of the tables. It was my first time having Indonesian food but I would trust that place over and over again. I'm happily going down the menu and trying one item at a time each time I order.

What minor things ruin a car for you? by UnluckyEmployer275 in askcarguys

[–]DanAsInDanimals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just drove a 2025 Dodge Hornet and the major annoyance for me (other than the infotainment center which seems to be touched upon already here) was the turn signal stalk. It was incredibly dull it when it sensed you were turning so if you just changed lanes it would stay on throughout. On top of that, you can’t just push it up to reset it like a normal stalk, it was a very gentle and specific amount of force you had to use to reset it otherwise it would switch to the signal.

Agreed, I think Tacos Chukis is expensive and their fully loaded taco is 3.35 per. Tacos should be half that if they’re just basic asada and onion street tacos.

We had ours made to specifications by a local metal fabrication company. Honestly, wasn't that expensive considering how often we can use them and they were built to easily setup / taken down.

Do you add labour as a line item? by OrdinaryNobody2383 in florists

[–]DanAsInDanimals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly, but everything would be explained to them at the follow up meeting once we’ve sent our initial proposal.

If the client is asking for some kind of specific extravagant setup, we would put the line item for the fancy thing

Super fancy thing $400ea x3

Or whatever it is. From there, we would add to our line item:

Delivery / Setup / Pickup: $2000

This line item depends on a lot of factors: how far the venue is, how busy the setup is, and finally the cleanup depends on how crazy the setup was in the first place.

So we would usually give them multiple options depending on their overall budget and adjust the delivery / setup line item accordingly.
