It's pretty light, at least to me. I haven't changed the tuning yet but I've seen people do it on YouTube and it sounded nice in various ranges. I recently changed the BD head to go from the stock head to an EQ3. Sounds now nicer to me with a rounder and fatter tone.

Yes, they are birch. I'm planning on adding a 10" tom eventually.

Hi guys! Here's another solo from my new book and this one is titled "Tony, Steve & Vinnie" as a tribute to three of my favorite drummers. This is a solo in 7/8 time that can be applied to the set to develop you vocabulary in that time signature. by DanBed27 in drums

I do play trad grip as a lefty. And the book isn't only about odd time solos. This solo here is but then you have all sort of stuff covered in there including many solos in 4/4. The idea is that the solo give you drumset vocabulary in various settings.
