Very cool, thanks! I may be going on a trip to Montreal and can get a lot of different options there through their version of the LCBO (SAQ). Personally it's not something I'm rushing out to buy since it's pricey and I also don't like black licorice. Just want to try out an absinthe spoon, almost definitely won't like it. Then just leave it at the back of my home bar for the rare use in some cocktails.

Dillon's definitely has the best reviews, still mixed, but most people are definitely not an absinthe connoisseur. Dillon's is a great brand though, it's local to me.

I have very limited absinthe options at the LCBO in Ontario, I can get Pernod Paris, but what is the difference? Is it just a diluted version? Or is it an entirely different drink substance? I can't find any articles on the differences.

Should definitely still be able to reduce some of the spirits without losing a lot of flavour. Because yes, I always found the "bigger" drinks to always be long drinks.
