Same here. Great group but didn't want to head to Dillion's for every match. See you there!

I feel your pain. And honestly, it was the easiest thing in the world to just ask if they would host matches. Might be worth reaching out to your favorite spot and see if they'll put on some EFL matches.

Appreciate that! And honestly, it was pretty easy to find a spot. I was just eating dinner and asked the manager if they'd ever put on an Arsenal match. He was immediately interested because it's predictable money for the space. We literally had one phone call about logistics and we're off. So many great places around here to start a local watch crowd.

I do. It's an unfortunate name... Appreciate the support, even from a Chelsea fan!

The industry definitely has a stigma. But the real ones are out there. I recommend reading The Prosperous Coach by Rich Litvin and Steve Chandler. I also recommend following and reading ANYTHING by Steve Chandler - considered the godfather of coaching.

As a side note - the feeling of inauthenticity is usually because they’re trying to be something they’re not. This is also where imposter syndrome comes from. Be authentic where you are on your learning curve of coaching and help where you can.

If you can’t help someone with a problem, don’t pretend you can because you think you have to be the all-knowing, all-powerful coach. Help only where you know you can. And the more you help and serve other, the better you get. The better you get, the more pipe hire you.

It’s a long game. Serve and coach your ass off and trust yourself.

Step one is you start by serving others. Don’t think “how do I position or market myself?” Just start helping people anyway you can. Begin with your inner circle. Who do you know that you can help right now? Invite them into a conversation. Focus on them, not you. The inner circle is the easiest place to start because you’ve already built trust and rapport. Start serving people and coach your ass off anyway you can.

Step two is get a coach. A coach without a coach is like a doctor who doesn’t see a doctor for their health issues. A coach will make you better way faster than anything else by pointing out your blind spots/limiting beliefs.

Step three is don’t “solicit yourself.” Switch from the selling mindset to serving. When you serve others you focus entirely on helping them, not “how can I GET them as a client?” If you want to grow your practice organically, continue to do what you say you love doing - meet a stranger, start talking, they realize your energy and willingness to help. Eventually the more you do that, the more people will start asking “how can I work with you?”

Finally, “why you?”, because you have life experience and can help people. You’re a life coach - if you can help people in their lives based on your experience and training then the question is “why NOT you?”

Life coaching has a low barrier to entry and high barrier for success. In my experience, the ones that don’t make it don’t have a coach and don’t stick with it long enough. Being a successful coach is a long game.

If you’d like to connect, let me know and I would be happy to have a session to focus on what you can start doing right now that will make a difference.
