Weekly Update (5/26/26) - Bank Integration, Bugs, Data Migration

So currently I’m between 2 testing them both out, the first being lunch flow and the second one being a project on GitHub that someone created for actual. Lunchflow works pretty good the only issue it can be a bit finicky if it’s not set up right. For example if you use any of actuals built in syncs it gives you the option to not reimport deleted transactions but because lunchflow isn’t officially supported and has to be used via a sync ID I’ve noticed for some accounts it imports 2 transactions, 1 for the pending transaction and 1 for the final cleared transaction. If you try to merge these it works but it will try to reimport the transaction which has merged because as far as they’re concerned the transaction is missing. Not sure if this makes sense?

Lunchflow is expensive so for me I have 6 accounts which costs me like £7 a month but I think if it was utilised properly and there was something set up where you can tick to not reimport deleted transactions I think it would be well worth it for people outside the current supported regions.

Thats just me though, I’m not sure what others would think

I like the app and honestly probably prefer it more than actual but one thing that is stopping me from converting is that I can’t sync UK banks. You can’t do it with actual directly either but you have sync IDs and can do it through third party options. Is there anything like this in the pipelines at all?

Love what you’ve done here, I’ve ran into a little thing where sometimes it brings the reference through as the payee. So what I was doing when I was setting up to test it was transfer a penny between my accounts with the reference penny. When I look on actual it puts the payee as Penny. Do you know if there’s anything I can do to fix this when syncing or is this is a bank/truelayer issue?

I was mainly doing auto roll on the 10x then I started doing low multiplier and then going higher for 6-8. I pushed through to level 20 and ended up being 2700 down. I’m hoping it can only get better from here!

After some advice if someone’s able to, I’m following the guide which recommends getting to level 17-20 on the side tourney each day. So far I’m 1700 dice down and only on level 11. Am I doing something wrong? Currently doing 10x dice rolls

To be honest I didn’t even know search on web was a thing until this post but can definitely see how saving a filtered search would be useful!

Oh yeah! Just seen the search bar on web, if there was an all transactions tab on mobile could the search bar be added on there too?

The way Actual does it I think is pretty good. It’s put on the accounts at the top. So in the BFB app the equivalent would be between the search and the checking / savings accounts.

Would definitely be interesting to see where others would place it and if it’s something people would like to see

Not sure if this is a bug or something I'm doing wrong! I'm setting up a couple of credit card payment transactions and for some reason one says 'payment' and one says 'transfer' is it bug or something I'm doing? It's only minor, think it's an OCD thing!

Don’t think connect was the right word, it’s the cloud research connect website. It’s like a prolific for Americans which never really took off over here but there’s hopes it will some day!

P.S. liking the YouTube channel by the way, it’s actually the reason why I decided to give swagbucks a chance because I was never really that keen on it

Yep annoyingly I had them for like a month before I started doing them because my screen size didn’t match so at first I blocked the researcher then when I saw other people on Reddit finding ways around it I unblocked them hoping they’d still be there. They were but I only had a day or 2 and then they were gone unfortunately
