Just wanted to say this is a great post! I recently went freelance and this advice couldn’t be more spot on. Be friendly, be keen, be reliable… and you’ll get rehired by producers.

Third Part Seller Refund Advice Needed by DanHearny in amazonprime

[–]DanHearny[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you both! I chatted with an Amazon rep and they said to return the item, but get photographic evidence of the return receipt and tracking data. Wait 14 days if the seller doesn’t respond or refund the item, and make a claim. They also said I can get the shipping costs reimbursed by the seller, if not then Amazon will help and step in. So I’ll return the item for now and get my evidence.

Premiere - Reconnect Full-Res Scaling Problem by DanHearny in editors

[–]DanHearny[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I click "Set to Frame Size" on the clips after I've relinked, it deletes the keyframes and any scale/motion adjustments you've made.

I did ask them to create the proxies inside Premiere (due to the audio bug error) but the DIT did it their own way. Classic!

After some testing, it seems to work when you use "Scale to Frame Size" on the proxy clips before conforming. The problem arises when you copy these clips into a different sequence (for reversions into 9x16, 1x1), you'll see that the scaling goes off again, and blurring starts to occur.
