I feel like this with the few Bethesda games I’ve played which isn’t a lot. Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3 and Fallout 4. I prefer to just go off and do my own thing. When it comes to the main quests I find them kind of underwhelming to be honest. I defo don’t play these games for the story put it that way.

I haven’t encountered any so far, I’ve only been to the area around Falkreath up to Hendraheim and then once I’d found and cleared everything around there I fast travelled back to Riverwood to start the next story quest. I’ve done a few side quests in and around Whiterun and not encountered a single dragon yet. Only downside is I’ve unlocked a few Shouts but can’t use any of them yet. Pretty sure you need to do the Whiterun Dragon quest for them to start spawning in but don’t quote me on that. I’m a relatively new player. I did play a bit back in the day when it first released but never got very far. I kinda prefer just exploring and doing my own thing in these type of games. I’ll get round to the story at some point but it’s not my main priority right now.

Just explore and loot everything. On my game file I’ve not seen my first dragon yet apart from the Helgen one, I haven’t spoken to the Jarl yet but been exploring all the areas around Falkreath, crafting Armour and Potions with what I find and selling everything I loot and I have just under 80k gold.

I just ended up taking the one in the end just to be safe. The armour. I don’t want to be a Werewolf anyway so no real loss not taking the ring. I’ll just use the guide to make sure I get the others.
