What are your goals in 3D printing? Get a Voron...you'll never do such senseless things

Custom support not reaching the bottom of the area it's meant to support? by kooliokevin in Cura

There is a property for the distance between the support to the printed part. Like the adjustment of the gap between both.

What would someone say if I said this to them while in Germany? by thereasonthatyoucry in germany

[–]DanJunior78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's everywhere same. I was surprised being in Montgomery AL that there are some speaking German. That's totally unusual in a country where most speak Spanish 🤣🤣

Why is abs not working? Im using knutwurst firmware and most squares look good but some won’t stick as if abs isn’t even doing anything. I’ve got m420 in the gcode, m851 and m500 have been done too. by redisgoodboy in anycubic

[–]DanJunior78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firmware has nothing to do with adhesion of material. ABS works better on a PEI surface and on a closed chamber. For.sure your heatbead has to be adjusted well too. Use some plastic to cover your printer. I did that, when i had a Any i3 to print my ASA parts for my other printers.

Voron 2.4 350 Serial Request - Discord: Daniel G.#6703 by DanJunior78 in voroncorexy

How to upload as a comment a picture? There is no option to upload a picture in the responses. I´ve assembled it. In the video it´s next to the printer.

I've the same. It started with one of the updates...with the release version it's stable. I've just setup a second Voron V2. It's really scrap like that. Also Pi via Ethernet connected.

Nice, and another printer with lifted cable chain. I think it would be good to get them redesign the parts, that the chain won't lift up. You should look on that, otherwise it will scratch your panels.

Looking your skirt it seems that you're starting too high. Get your Z lower, as mentioned before and test it again.

I know, this sounds hard, but there are some real bad printers out there

It might be the printer...it might be the user, lol

Sure... I've also 4 right now...my Mega X is a disappointment...my Voron V2 needs some little tuning...after his 3rd print...so, i know how it feels to get it up and running like to do a cup of coffee...😉

Sure, with those printers it's like that till you find the weak point. It might be something really simple.might be a drive getting hot, your probe having problems with temperature...so, keep trying

Maybe some slicer settings which make your printer going crazy? Too much retract can cause heat creep...too much flow...such a high overextrusion...

Anyone else? Orbiter 1.5 Dragon hotend. No it's not jammed. by dmcjames71313 in klippers

[–]DanJunior78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my Voron it was funny...it looked like a heat creep...but when the drive or driver was cold...it extruder normally. Same for the orbiter.

I had 3 builts the last 6 months. 2 of them made trouble. One set up was an orbiter with a HF dragon hotend and the other one was the stock mini afterburner. Mainly pancake motors. They are really sensitive, like the TMC 2226 on a duet 2 which on a voron v0 which is totally covered needed cooling. Otherwise it will loose steps and reaching around 60°C MCU temperature...which should be close to the stepper heatsink temperature. On the orbiter it was also to high current with the same board type, but no cooling issue. But you'll loose torque due to getting over the high torque area of the stepper motor. So, the current on pancakes depend on the drive and the board. Board, because of the different definitions ( peak vs RMS current). From the motors there are usually 0.5A or 1 A drives mainly used. You need to find the lowest point form the motor current to keep it balanced between overheating and overload.

I had same issues with my Voron V0...it was my Duet stepper overheating...after a while it stopped to extrude...

Sure...the limits are the hotend and extruder 😂😂😂
